Flag Football for Youth 1st-6th Grade – Registration is open!

Orange City Recreation Department is sponsoring Flag Football for 1st-6th grade. The program will run from Thursday, September 10, to October 15.

Flag Football Registration will open on Wednesday, August 12 at 8:00am!

This fun 6 week program will focus on skill development, teamwork, and flag football games.

We are partnering with the Northwestern College football team. Football players will help coach the teams!

Program Information:
1st - 6th Grade
Thursday Nights
7:00pm - 8:00pm
September 10 - October 15

While the town ball fields are open to the public for use, we do ask that you use discretion when using them.

If the fields are soft and there is standing water on the fields, we ask that you stay off of them. By going on the fields when they are wet, this causes damage to the fields and requires much more work to get them back to playable conditions. Staying off of them helps them dry quicker and keeps them in better condition.

Boys and Girls Tball is cancelled due to a severe thunderstorm warning. 6/17

1st and 2nd grade is still on for 6:45. Depending on weather.

Huge thank you to Diego, Coach Swier, and Kay. They have contributed countless hours to lining up coaches, practice plans, and officials. Without them we couldn’t have our soccer program.

Also, thank you to Northwestern Colleges men’s and women’s soccer team for giving their time and knowledge to the program. We are extremely thankful for them and investing in our youth!

Summer Rec Registration Opens May 1, 2026
As the weather starts to warm up, your Orange City Rec. Department is busy organizing the 2026 summer rec programs, with a goal of having program information available online in early April.

Some programs are limited, so look for the program descriptions to become available in early April at: buff.ly/1tjTCT3 and view the many different options that will be offered.

Online registration opens Friday, May 1, at 8:00 am.
