Be careful when launching from French. There is a gator nest on the left that is patrolled by two large gators close to the entrance to the run. Stay away from the shoreline.

Early Saturday morning saw a family of otters swimming in the run. Water levels are very low. No manatee, I don't think...

Early Saturday morning saw a family of otters swimming in the run. Water levels are very low. No manatee, I don't think they can make it up the run do to the shallow conditions.

The run is open and I will be paddling this weekend to see how many manatee are still around 😀. Very excited. Has been a long couple of months waiting for it to open again.
