Been a minute, but big update: St. Landry Barbell has a new home officially, and we'll be moving in September to Sunset, LA. There will be many more announcements and activity in the coming days/weeks but just wanted to break the silence. THE WAIT IS NEARLY OVER. The carport sessions with the group trainees has been great but this era is drawing to a close and the grand reopening and new beginnings of St. Landry Barbell 2.0 are upon us. Watch out 💪

ATTENTION: St. Landry Barbell will be closing temporarily this week. The lease is up and unfortunately the landlord has different plans for the building going forward and wants us out ASAP.

More unfortunately, we don't have another property lined up to move to at this time so I have no choice but to close down briefly in the meantime while I arrange a new home for the gym.

If anyone has information or any potential options in the South Opelousas area for a suitable building for lease preferably outside city limits, please reach out to me. I will repeat this is TEMPORARY and the gym will be opening again once a suitable facility is locked down. This is just a bump in the road.

All current members' accounts will be frozen this week and I will refund their remaining month's dues. Sorry to have to do this but my hands are tied and we've been put in a very tight place. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your understanding and patience at this time 🙏

The annual donation haul from the Plates for Paws 3 Animal Shelter Benefit for St. Landry Parish Animal Control thanks to all the competitors, spectators, and donors who participated and make this such a successful event every year. Together we raised around $2000 for the shelter and were able to donate a bunch of much-needed equipment and supplies to help care for our un-homed furry friends in St. Landry Parish

Mitch with came by the gym this morning to hook me up with their brand new Louisiana Power Bar and their Zydeco Deadlift Bar both in full black cerekote finish. These things are gorgeous. They will be featured at the the Backyard BBQ meet here on February 28th 👍💪

3rd annual Plates for Paws was a huge success. Still tallying up all the donations but we are close to $2000 raised towards the animal shelter which is awesome. Huge thanks to all the participants and donors 🙏
