I hope you are all doing well and getting excited for our upcoming recital on May 6th (more details coming soon).
I have been meaning to post this for a while now, but have struggled with exactly how to say it. After much prayer, I have made the decision to close Grace School of Dance after this May.
For those of you who may not know, Grace School of Dance was originally started by a young lady, Jessica Bartlett, and my mom, Regina Christian, back around 2004. I was 14 at the time and among one of the first students. So was Ms. Aliya, our artistic director for our upcoming spring recital. Jessica and my Mom's vision was to provide a godly environment for young girls to learn Ballet and teach their student to use their gifts to honor God. After Jessica left our local area, my Mom oversaw Grace School of Dance. We have had many teachers come and go over the years, including myself. But our focus has always remained the same, to glorify God with all we do. When mom passed away in August of 2021, I wanted to carry on this legacy for her. But God has shown me over the last 6 months that it simply wasn't my mantle to pick up. Closing the studio isn't a decision I have come to lightly, but I believe it is what is best for me and my family at this time.
Now, with all that being said, I do want to let you all know that our very own Mrs. Hannah Birmingham Howard (Mrs. Hey Hey 😉) has decided to open her own studio after May! I am super excited for her and pray that God blesses her endeavors moving forward. Please take a minute to like her page and follow her to stay in the loop on her upcoming classes!
