DL Custom-Glove work

This one was a FULL job. I made new finger slots on the inside, patched the palm, added padding to the palm, beefed up the thumb and pinky pads, added new pinky and thumb loops, full replace, cleaned and conditioned. I didn’t oil like I usually do only because of how heavy it was already, I didn’t want to add extra weight to it. Headed to grove to possibly put some work in before the season ends!

I’ve learned a lot of tricks of the leather trade (don’t know if they are right or not 😆) over the last few years by just trying it out. Hand stitching is one of them and I don’t even know how I was able to teach myself! This one has been one of my recent favorites that I am just getting around to posting. A full relace, repair, recondition and cleaned up! Looking like new ready to make plays!

This Mizuno needed some support! It was flat, well used and needed a makeover!
Flatbill lace came in big with the lace to match the Mizuno glove. This one got more padding added to the palm and some thicker lace to help support it through the seasons!
Headed to Nowata, Ok.

This catchers glove cleaned up 🧼 and tightened up nicely! Got it in and out quickly and ready to get to work! This one is headed back to Owasso to get ready for the push to playoffs! This family has been repeat customers for years and always give me great gloves that are taken care of and easy to work!

This one was a little more challenging! This was a different webbing than I’m used to and had to take a few notes with this one! I haven’t had to do that in a very long time! I love getting challenges and seeing new design! This one got new color to the aging parts and cleaned, conditioned and beefed up the laces! It’s like a brand new glove. This one is headed to Skiatook, Ok.

Some problems began to form in the palm so we took it apart and got to work. Cleaned, conditioned and tightened this one up and headed back to Keifer, Ok.

This catchers glove was holding on by zip ties and dreams! Dad came in clutch and helped get her to the next pitch! We got her fixed up with a good clean, condition and relace in time for district play to start back up earlier this week. This one headed back to Claremore, Ok to help them push for the playoffs!
