Prior to the introduction of the EC (European Contour) racing plate, Thoroughbred race horses were shod with steel between races. When race day arrived, steel plates were removed and a soft, turned aluminum plate was applied f
or the race. After the race, it was removed and replaced with steel. This constant changing of plates, and subsequent multiple nail holes caused the hooves to deteriorate. HOOF-LIFE Acrylic is available in two formulations, Swift Set and Standard Set in a variety of packaging. BLACK is now available and packaged in our 420 mL cartridge.
