Golf practice today (Thursday) is cancelled due to heat at practice time. If I have your clubs, please grab them from the Athletic Office hallway from 11:15 AM on. Check your email for further information!

The varsity girls golf team continues to push the envelope and finished again better than the previous week. Hosting their Jamboree at Devils Lake golf course the Wildcats took fourth place with a 250 team score! The entire group did amazing dealing with the incredibly warm temperatures to continually cut strokes off their score!  Senior Aubrie Schonfeld shot a 53 to lead the Wildcats! She tied for 5th place individually!Senior Ruby Helinski and Junior Maddie Kangas took the second and third spots both firing a 63. Sophomore Lydia Sutherland took the fourth spot with a 69! An amazing accomplishment as only her second Jamboree! Sophomore Charlotte Brosamer shot a 73 and Sophomore Madalyn Schultz in her first Varsity Jamboree carded a 74. Everyone contributed to move the Wildcats up another slot! Great things to come for sure! GO CATS!

The Varsity girls conquered the tough terrain at the Hillsdale jamboree today at the Hills of Baw Beese Lake! Taking a fifth place finish with a team score of 283 moves them up in the scoring ranks! Senior Aubrie Schonfeld led the way firing a 58! Sophomores Charlotte Brosamer and Maddie Kangas both added to the team score with 73’s. Newcomer Sophomore Lydia Sutherland did fantastic at her first Varsity Jamboree with a 79! The Wildcats host this Wednesday at Devils Lake for our LCAA Jamboree at 3:00 PM! GO CATS!

The Wildcats started league play yesterday at Wolf Creek Golf Club as Madison hosted the first league Jamboree. Lots of room for improvement, but the girls pushed through some difficult shots and places on the course. We are looking forward to some redemption as we host Wednesday’s event at Devils Lake Golf Course! The Wildcats took fifth place in the event yesterday. Returning starters were Ruby Helinski, Maddie Kangas, Aubrie Schonfeld, and Charlotte Brosamer. Looking forward to new additions with Lydia Sutherland and Madalyn Schultz to help improve our team score and give us so many more options! GO CATS!

The parent player meeting that originally was going to be this evening will be pushed back to next week! More information to come! It’s not too late to join a great group! If you are doing another sport, never have golfed before, and want to try something new this fall come and join us; Thursday and Friday at Devils Lake from 9:00-10:30 AM! We would love to have you!

Due to the weather this morning and course conditions, we will meet at the elementary from 9- 1030 this morning. We will be looking at new rules for the upcoming season. Please bring your physicals with you if you have not turned them into the athletic office. It will be the elementary entrance closest to Onsted Highway.

Golf Season is finally here! Come join us Monday, August 10, 2026 for the start of tryouts at Devils Lake Golf Course! 9-10:30 AM! It may be a new sport to try, one that you continue to play, or just love being outside! Doing another sport or activity? No problems here! The Golf Team competed on a very challenging walking and playing course at Calderone Farms in yesterday’s Regional. Battling the difficult terrain and penalty areas; there were so many incredible shots and finishes. Unfortunately, the season comes to a close, but not without so many improvements. Senior Izzy Cunningham had a 123, Sophomore Madalyn Kangas 124, and Senior Margo Zellen 128. Go Cats!
