The Golf Team competed on a very challenging walking and playing course at Calderone Farms in yesterday’s Regional. Battling the difficult terrain and penalty areas; there were so many incredible shots and finishes. Unfortunately, the season comes to a close, but not without so many improvements. Senior Izzy Cunningham had a 123, Sophomore Madalyn Kangas 124, and Senior Margo Zellen 128. Go Cats!

The Varsity Golf team competed in the Lenawee County Invite Friday at Woodlawn! The Wildcats finished in Fifth place as a team (479). Senior Izzy Cunningham (110) and Senior Margo Zellen (111); finished in the Top 20. Sophomore Madalyn Kangas (125) and Senior Molly Kordyzon (133); secured the Fifth place team finish! The Wildcats final stop before the state tournament is Monday at Calderone! They have their sights on continuing the season! Go Cats!

The LCAA Championship at Woodlawn GC proved to be a day of incredible shots, awards, PR’s, and accolades! Senior Izzy Cunningham and Junior Ruby Helinski were both awarded Second Team LCAA! Both finished in the Top 10! Cunningham shot a 104/4th place finish and Helinski 109/7th place finish! Senior Margo Zellen had a PR/18 holes with a 122 along with Senior Molly Kordyzon firing a 122 as well! Both placed 16th! Sophomore Madalyn Kangas had an amazing 129 to round out the team score! The Wildcats finished the event taking Second Place as a team (457) by three strokes! It is a perfect time to come together as a team as we move into the county championship on Friday at Woodlawn and Monday we are at Calderone for regionals! Good luck, girls, and keep pushing the envelope!

The girls played awesome at Green Meadows to secure a Third Place team finish! Ida is new to the LCAA this year and it was a perfect time to be challenged before Regionals! Senior Izzy Cunningham carded a 53 with Junior Ruby Helinski on her tails with a 55! Izzy and Ruby finished in the Top 10! Madalyn Kangas (71), Aubrie Schonfeld (76), and Charlotte Brosamer (75) added to the team score! Great job ladies! The Wildcats are at Woodlawn today for the LCAA Championship! Go Cats!

The girls wrapped up their second to last jamboree at Hillsdale Friday! There were some amazing shots throughout the afternoon! Sophomore Madalyn Kangas had an incredible afternoon as she led the Wildcats with a PR of 59! Her consistency throughout the afternoon and her focus set the stage. The Lady Cats finished fourth as a team with a total of 255. The rest of the team Izzy Cunningham (61), Margo Zellen (65), Ruby Helinski (70), and Aubrie Schonfeld (75) helped to secure fourth place. The Lady Wildcats have a busy week ahead with the LCAA and County championships this week. They are ready for regionals next week and have their sights on trying to get to states.

The weather yesterday was a bit chilly for the Onsted Invite, but it didn’t stop the team from cutting back their strokes on 18 holes! Missing 3rd Place by three strokes in a talented field; there were many shining moments. Senior Izzy Cunningham medaled in 10th place overall firing a 114 for the round! Sophomore Madalyn Kangas was consistent all day making a difference in the team score with a 123 of her own! Senior Molly Kordyzon was close behind with a 125 and Senior Margo Zellen added to the team score with a 136. The girls are back in action today in Hillsdale!

The girls competed at Rustic Glen for Clinton’s Jamboree on Wednesday! There were some improvements and great shots! With a team total of 245; the Wildcats placed 5th in League Play. Izzy Cunningham (54), Ruby Helinski (59), Margo Zellen (60), Madalyn Kangas (72), Molly Kordyzon (74), and Charlotte Brosamer (80) worked hard in the warm temps! Izzy Cunningham place 4th to be in the Top Ten. The Wildcats have a busy week ahead with three events! Go Cats!
