If you're attending the YMCA Beach Bash and Oyster Roast this coming weekend. A little birdie told me there will be pulled pork with Firepigs sauces, Boss Hawg, Brackish, Ole Yellar, East Carolina heat, and Cluck Cluck. And a few of our sides! Loaded potato salad, Coleslaw, baked beans, smoked Mac n cheese, hush puppies and more.

Well here it is! We are in Bel Air, Md. attending our very first SCA steak cook off as cooks. We have judged a few of these events over the past year and decided it was time to be on the other end of things. Wish us luck! The field is stacked with 47 teams from all over.

Oh did we mention this is part of our preparation for possible steak night in the restaurant? Hmmm......

Yes, your eyes are correct. There are 84- 1&1/4" rib eyes on those tables

Well what a day! After finishing 35th overall yesterday we turned the ship around and bounced back for a 12th place overall finish out of 52 teams. Finally managed our first ever top 10 call in Pork and came home second. And our 33rd place brisket from yesterday changed to a 10th today (same exact recipe). We are all packed up and getting ready to head home. See you soon!

Ok peeps. Round 2 has begun!!

Well apparently we didn't do as well as we thought we did. The bbq gods didn't find our turn ins to be to their liking I guess.
We finished 32nd in chicken, 49th in ribs, 14th in pork, and 33rd in brisket (seriously? It was excellent). We are sitting here scratching our heads. Tomorrow is day 2 of this event. We'll see if we can make it any better. Our food was pretty damn good and tasty.
