Today I got to do the greatest WOD I have ever had the privilege of being part of...Ashley's PSU CrossFit Club Senior WOD. For 4 years Ashley has been talking about this day and how she imagined it would be......obviously this situation wasn't in any of the ways she thought today would go......but there she was doing the WOD in the garage and the backyard, banging out rep after rep with her Dad trying to keep up with her (spoiler alert - I couldn't, not even close). Her love of CrossFit started over 9 years ago when we opened CrossFit Honor and we all became part of an amazing family and community of the CFH athletes and the SEALFIT family of coaches and athletes.
The PSU CrossFit Club is absolutely incredible. I am so proud to say that I know them and I am humbled by the home these amazing students have created. Whether it be their love and support for Lily Jordan and THON, their first place finishes at the MACC, or the day to day dedication to be "better than yesterday", the CF Club has been the fabric of their lives at PSU.
So to Ashley, Molly, Jack, Hannah, Mya, Mark, Angela, Robbie, and all the other Seniors.....you have been blessed to be part of an amazing experience, one that you will remember and be part of for the rest of your lives. Cherish those memories, hold them tight, and always smile. Good luck with all the new paths your lives will take.......God Bless You all.

Senior WOD: Ashley Rutan
Ashley has spent the last 4 years at Penn State with us. In that time, she has been a coach for 3 years and represented the club last year at THON 2019. About this club, she has said, “it has given me a home; I consider everyone in the club my family and I truly don't know what I would do without it.”

Ashley, seeing your smile, positive attitude, and determination in Wagner has always inspired members to keep pushing themselves. When you coach, your knowledge of CrossFit is obvious, and you are never afraid to use your loud voice 🙂 which is necessary sometimes! We will miss you!!!
