The Lady Spartans travel to Orange City today. JV girls start at 4:30 (two quarters), and varsity girls tip off at 6:00!

The Spartans had their first basketball game against West Harrison on November 30th. The girls came away with the 64-28 sweep.

Leading the team in scoring was senior Kacy Miller with 24 points. Senior Jalyn Struble followed with 17 points and senior Kaylee Goslar with 11 points. Adding to the total was junior Savannah Lucas with 6 points. Sophomores Bri Hill, Ashlee Pittet, and Carly Stangel all added 2 points.

The Spartans outrebounded their opponent 25 to 16. Leading on the boards was Goslar and K. Miller with 6 rebounds. Pittet came down with 4 boards followed by Lucas with 3. Struble and Ally Miller both had 2 rebounds, and Stangel and Hill both had 1.

K. Miller led the Spartans with 6 steals followed by Lucas with 4 and A. Miller with 3. Senior Addy Halverson, Pittet, Stangel, and Struble all came away with 2 steals. Goslar, Hill, and sophomore Creighton Lichtenberg had 1 steal.

Lucas led the Spartans with 6 assists. The Spartans career assist and season assist record holder, Struble, followed with 4 assists. K. Miller had 2 assists, and Stangel with 1.

Goslar had 2 blocked shots.
