Bit of a bittersweet post here tonight.
As many of you know, I left for college after a great summer of soccer training! With summer coming up relatively soon, I'm sad to say that I won't be coming back to the Eastern Shore to continue training this summer.
I realized that 90% of my time will be spent here in Blacksburg for at least 2 more years. With that being said, it only makes sense that if I want to continue to train kids and to direct my own academy, it be here in Blacksburg.
Without the faith of so many of you parents and the faith that the kids put in me to help them grow, I don't know where I would be today as a coach. I want to give a huge thank you to every single one of you who invested your energy, money, and most importantly TIME into my program. I hope that your children can say that they've enjoyed the experience, learned a thing or two, and can ultimately feel that they left my program better than when they came in.
No matter what, I am in the corner of every single individual who has participated in the academy. Even at the most minimal level, I am here to see everyone from the ESVA succeed in the beautiful game.
Parents, please hear me out. The physical, social, mental, and emotional benefits that come from soccer are immeasurable. Please continue to nurture any interest that your child may have in soccer to the best of your ability, I promise you that it's worth it.
