Omak Football is thrilled to announce that Jacob Hurlbert has been selected as the new head coach for the Omak Pioneers. Jacob is a former Pioneer who played four years under Coach Sackman. After graduating in 2022, he attended Pacific Northwest Christian College where he played for two years before becoming a coach in their program. Jacob has a very high football IQ and a great passion for the sport. Coach Sackman could not be more pleased and feels like this is a full circle moment. “I took over the varsity program 20 years ago from Coach Galen Kaemingk, who had been my high school coach. It’s really exciting that I’m now passing the reins to one of my former players. Jacob is going to do a great job leading the Omak Pioneer Football Program!”
