That's a wrap on our Rink Mom of the Month summer contest series!

Thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate a rink mom this summer. Each nomination reminded us that behind every player is a village of parents who quietly make youth hockey possible.

If your nominated mom wasn't selected, please know that doesn't mean she wasn't deserving. We received so many heartfelt nominations, and every one of them described someone who goes above and beyond for their own kids—and often for other kiddos, too! We hope to recognize even more amazing rink moms next summer.

In the meantime, if you see one of our Rink Moms around the rink, say hi. Chances are, she'd have your back if your player needed a snack, a hug, a neck guard, their skates tied, or just another adult cheering them on.

A huge thank you to for supporting this series! While we purchased each of the hats we gave away, we genuinely love what they're building. They're a mom-owned small business creating products that celebrate the hockey mom experience and remind us that none of us are doing this alone.

If you haven't already, give them a like, a follow, or grab a rink hat of your own. Supporting small businesses that support our hockey community is always a win.

Here's to the moms who haul the gear, pack the snacks, calm the nerves, celebrate the wins, wipe away the tears, and somehow always know exactly where the extra tape is. We're in this together.

There are a lot of ways to measure a hockey program.

We measure ours by the players who want to be here.
The coaches who show up for them.
The friendships that stretch beyond the rink. Beyond the season. Beyond the logo on their chests.

But mostly… by how quickly an entire team can throw their coach into a hotel pool 🤣

Good players. Good coaches. Good culture. Higher standards.

We know exactly what we’re building.

Midland Women's Hockey is bringing the Warrior Way Girls Hockey Development Camp to Sidner Ice Arena this September.

We're excited to host this first-of-its-kind camp in Fremont, giving girls hockey players ages 8U–19U the opportunity to learn from Midland University Women's Hockey coaches and current collegiate players through skill development, competition, and on- and off-ice training.

Congratulations to one of the toughest defenders we've had the pleasure of watching this summer on earning a spot with Omaha Red!

From the moment Goose stepped on the ice, it was obvious she was a special player. Smart, composed, competitive, and relentless in her own end, she's the kind of teammate every coach loves to have on the ice. And the Aces are incredibly grateful she chose to spend part of her summer skating with the us!

Goose, it was a privilege to watch you compete, grow, and make everyone around you better. Congratulations on this well-deserved accomplishment. We cannot wait to watch you continue to develop and have an amazing season with Omaha Red.

Go show them what you've got—we'll be cheering you on every step of the way!

ROUTE 66 CHAMPIONS! 12U PEEWEE ACES

Last weekend our Peewee Aces returned from the inaugural Route 66 Youth Hockey Showcase with a first-place trophy! It was such a fun way to put an exclamation point on the 2026 Summer Aces season. We cannot thank our hosts Springfield Legion Hockey Club enough for the invitation and the great weekend!

This group spent the summer practicing together, competing together, traveling together and, most importantly, having a whole lot of fun playing hockey together. They took advantage of every opportunity we could give them to get back on the ice — and watching it all come together in their final tournament was pretty special. To our Peewee Aces: CONGRATULATIONS!

Be proud of the hockey you played, the teammates you became, and everything you accomplished this summer, and take that with you into the regular season. This was a truly special group, and we are forever grateful for each of you.

One last trophy. One heck of a way to end the summer. Until next time, Aces...Keep ’em flying!

OFFICIAL ROSTER UPDATE

The Nebraska Aces have decided to RELEASE these three players.

Reason: They've been called up!

After helping bring home a Route 66 Cup championship last weekend, these three Aces are headed to the Fremont Ice Association Sq**rt Warbirds team for the 2026/2027 season!

Congratulations on earning your spots with the Fremont Warbirds! It was a blast having you with us this summer, and we can't wait to see what you accomplish this season. Now go make some noise!

Congratulations to all of the players who skated with the Nebraska Aces this summer and have earned spots on Omaha travel teams for the upcoming season!

We're grateful you chose to spend part of your offseason skating with us, and we're excited to watch each of you continue your hockey journey. Congratulations on earning your spots!

Plus, it's awesome seeing so many familiar names on these rosters! From Flight School and Twig Fest to tournaments, clinics, and simply competing with friends around the rink. Best of luck to all of the Omaha travel teams this season!

Our Bantam Aces wrapped up the inaugural Route 66 Youth Hockey Showcase with a third-place finish and a 0–2–1 record on the weekend. They fought hard. They competed. And yes — things got a little chippy at times!

Springfield Legion knocked us out of contention for the championship game, and after spending the weekend battling one another on the ice, players from both teams came together afterward in a prayer circle. Thanks for having a great hockey culture, because though we were competitors during the game, ultimately, we're all part of a greater hockey community after the last buzzer.

Winning is fun, but there’s a lot more we hope these players take away from their time on the ice — competing hard, respecting the game and the people across from you, and remembering that when the final horn sounds, we're all part of the same hockey community.

To our Bantams, thank you for flying with us this summer. We wish each of you the very best as you head into your regular seasons. Keep working, keep competing, and keep being the kind of players who make this game better.

And thank you to Springfield Legion for a hard-fought weekend and for sharing a pretty special moment with our players when it was over!
