Musketeer Fencing Club

Musketeer Fencing Club Created in June of 1981 and disbanded in November 2024. It was a club focused on Recreation and fun. Private lessons still available by appointment.

We are an independent group of recreational adult fencers that enjoy playing with swords, drinking, motorcycles, Renaissance fairs, pirate festivals and hot tub parties. We are dedicated to the autonomy of the individual fencer/swordsmen and his/her right to follower their own path with the sword. We are not affiliated with the USFA national organization and accept members of the AFL, UFFA, HEMA,

AHF, CosPlay and the SCA. We will even let USFA people play if they stop pretending they are the only game in town. We fence Traditional Dry Foil and Traditional Dry Saber, Small Sword, Dueling Saber, Sword and Buckler, Rapier and limited Longsword. Lessons are given by Ian Stochl, stabbing and being stabbed since 1972 with 50+ years of fencing and swordplay experience. Stage Combat is also thrown in there for fun. Our partnered club, Omaha Kunst des Fechtens, run by Tyler Sigman concentrates on German Longsword and Messer. All equipment is provided. $20.00 or a bottle of Spiced rum per month.

Some of you know that I am now teaching a Boy Scout Troop Classical foil. These individuals range between 12 and 16 years old. I am now reminded why I stopped teaching youth, and concentrated on late high school, college, and adult classes. It's like herding cats during a blizzard.
P.S. Thank you for all the loaned equipment. But I still need masks, gloves, and jackets in the Small and medium sizes if anyone out there has some. Nickie Bonar, you said you had some I could borrow? when can we meet?
