A tidbit how Tails ‘n Trails was born. Rob Owens reached out to Rachel Balkovec and Rachel Warne after he witnessed an animal cruelty case and asked if they would be interested in organizing a trail run to raise money for local rescue groups. All 3 are avid runners with Greater Omaha Trail Runners (GOATz) and animal lovers so this was a no-brainer. There are many animals in need whether it is resc

ued from puppy mills, kill shelters, owner surrenders, cruelty, etc. There is no better way than to bring the running community and animal lovers together to raise money for the rescues. The chosen rescues to split all proceeds 3 ways are: Pug Partners of Nebraska; Hands, Hearts and Paws; Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue. All 3 rescues rely solely on donations, are 501(c)3 non-profits. We will also add in a fourth rescue that will change each year.
