Opening January 2021

06/05/2026

Per the American College of Sports Medicine, 1 out of 10 adults are meeting both aerobic and strength training guidelines. In adults 65+ its 1 out of 7.

The gap between doing nothing and doing something is far larger than deciding what exercise modalities are the best. Just exercise!

In fact, the two most important variables are consistency and effort! Those are also the two most important variables in the 30 FOR 30 Challenge!

So yes! It does make a difference!

“Initially, my thoughts were that Pilates was going to be more or less a rest/stretching day, somewhat like yoga. It’s not what I expected. I love that Laurie is constantly changing it up. One day strength, next flexibility or a core or high intensity workout. All leading to better results. My best advice to someone starting Pilates is, and I say this often to newbies...”one day you will look in the mirror and notice this incredible transformation of your body - it takes you by surprise but is so satisfying to see what you have accomplished!” Laurie is a great trainer and well versed in her field-you are getting the BEST!”. - Jane A TRAINED Pilates Client

10 days left in the May 30 for 30 challenge. What have you noticed by taking time outside?

Walking....It costs nothing. It’s therapeutic. It’s easy. It brings mental clarity. It’s outside.

MOVE OF THE MONTH: Wheelbarrow saw.

Why do we love it? This movement is all encompassing. A wheelbarrow targets your obliques, re**us abdominis, transverse abdominis, shoulders (stabilizing), lats and adductors.

Wheelbarrow for full range of motion. Saw for small range of motion and/or micomovements.

This stabilizing movements is a burner 🔥

“Hi, I’m Staci Hinners and I have been lucky enough to have trained with Justin off and on for over 25 years. I keep coming back to Justin because no matter what phase of life I’m in, he has always tailored my workout plan to my current abilities and goals. I think at this point we have covered every goal that a person can have! LOL! But currently my goals are to be as strong as possible, fat loss and working out with intensity and intention. Justin is a great motivator and is always trying to better himself so that he can help me to be the best I can be.

If I were talking to someone that was just starting out on their fitness journey, I would absolutely send them to Trained. It’s a fun environment and everyone there is so friendly. I often tell people that my time at Trained is the best part of my week. It sounds corny, but as a mom, wife, and business owner you don’t have time for yourself very often. So when I’m at Trained, it’s all about me.

So if you’ve been thinking about it, JUST DO IT! You’ll never know what you’re capable of if you don’t try.”- Staci H, TRAINED strength training client.
