Sarah Swims Hi! My name is Sarah Lewis, I teach people of all ages and abilities to swim. I'm a life long swimmer and love passing on this life-saving skill.

From the first time going underwater to all four competitive strokes, including, starts, dives, and turns.

Hello Sarah Swim Families!! Just wanted to update everyone on my Summer plans 😊
After much soul-searching, I have decided to return to school and finish my undergraduate degree!! Because I will be taking classes this summer, I will not be securing a pool to teach from. However, I will have some time available in the evenings to teach, if any of you have access to a pool or have your own pool.

I am beyond grateful to all of you who have reached out and asked about my lessons. My decision to finish my degree was not made lightly and I thought about all of my swim families in the process! I apologize for not creating this message sooner. Please know I love all of you and your kids and really hope to see many of you this summer. If not, please know I am grateful for your support and wish you and your children the best, safest summer - a summer filled with lots of swimming 😊God bless! ~ Sarah

Mom says, “Please tell Sarah thank you for being an awesome swim instructor! Claire now does dives off the board (and this is from a couple of weeks ago. She’s getting more graceful all the time) and Nora is LOVING jumping from the low boards and even worked up the nerve (with the help of a friend) to jump off the high board at Hitchcock last week! “

Meet Jon. This little man was so terrified of water - even to the point of not liking bath time at home!! He and Miss Sarah (with the approval of Mom) made a deal - Jon had to stay in the water (even though he might not like it and cry the whole time) for 15 minutes every day during lessons. Mom reported by day 4 of lessons, Jon was having fun during bath time at home. By day 6, he stopped crying during the 15 minutes. By day 8, Jon said he liked the water!

Sometimes what it takes is gentleness, compromise and perseverance. The gains may seem small in the immediate. But Jon’s smile says it all. He’s proud of himself, too. Confidence, skill and love of the water. This is what Miss Sarah wants for all of her students.
