“My favorite thing about competitive Freeride is the way it pushes my skiing. When you put a bunch of talented skiers in a comp setting, they will naturally push themselves, and in turn, push each other; that’s just how competition works. But Freeride is unique in that we can still compete with each other at a very high level while also maintaining a supportive community. Everyone is stoked to see others put down a cool line. It’s a bunch of characters who just love skiing and pushing limits, and that shines through in the competitive setting.
“I studied Journalism in college, so I’m constantly trying to write and create while skiing, currently pitching stories to outdoor publications while also writing my own personal blog, documenting my experiences.” A talented writer and engaged citizen of her communities, we asked what skiing goals Britta holds. “There’s endless opportunity to create art through skiing, so I want to see what I can make out of it.
