Alpenglow is looking for a Content & Community Manager to help tell our story, engage with our community, and bring people into the world of mountain adventures.

This is a full-time role based right here at our headquarters in Lake Tahoe, CA. Highlights of the role include managing influencer partnerships, social channels, newsletters, and creating IRL events to bring our community of mountain adventurers together.

Climb this mountain BEFORE you climb Mt. Everest, and see your summit chances skyrocket. 🚀

A question we're often asked is: "How do I prepare my body for the Death Zone?"

Train, of course. Eat well leading up to and during the trip. Mentally prepare to suffer and go into it knowing it's going to be hard.

But the truth is: nothing can prepare you for the Death Zone quite like being in the Death Zone. It's why we see climbers who've been to 8,000 meters before climbing Everest have much higher success rates than those who haven't.

Plus, it's the sixth-tallest peak in the world, it's called the Turquoise Goddess for a reason (it's stunning), you can climb it with the most experienced team on the planet, and you can ski it if you're really up for it. What's not to like?

Is this the world's most precarious campsite? 🫣

It's hard to think of anywhere that comes close to the small perch that is Camp 2.7 at 20,800 ft. on Ama Dablam. Sitting here, you're in the center of the Himalayan throne room, surrounded by giants.

Someone with 10 summits of Everest's favorite mountain to guide is ... Kilimanjaro? 🤔

For Adrian, it's certainly up there. He says there's almost no better gateway into high altitude, and the experience itself is truly unique. Climbing through every East African ecological zone, filled with endemic plant and animal species, and a massive summit day on a truly big mountain. What more could you want?

The latest documentary about the late Dean Potter is, expectedly, reigniting debates around free soloing. There will always be controversy around climbing without protection. Keep Everest free of trash 🙏

Every Alpenglow trip to Everest adds extra days and extra wages for our staff to spend time after the summit bid going back to high camps to ensure that we leave the mountain cleaner than we found it. Whether it's our gear or trash left behind by other teams, we make sure we leave no trace on the world's tallest peak.
