Just finished two days w the same three guys, all of whom could fish really well.

Both days, the same guy grabbed the streamer rod first and landed fish in 5 minutes on day one, 3 casts in on day two. Gotta love that sh*tty weather and big bugs 🌧🌧🌧

Prior to leaving town before the storm, I had Scoot on the river.

Unfortunately, he just missed 10 feet of the fresh stuff, but he did manage his first bow, brown and whitie, before heading back to FL.

His only time previously with a fly rod was in Yellowstone chasing cutties. We didn't find any big ones, but adding three new species and a Slam to the resume is pretty sweet.

See you next time, Scott 👊

Our boy Lucas has been on a tear lately.

He's going hard down the trout spey rabbit hole and is a natural caster with very few hours under his belt so far.

We committed to it most of the day, and although we didn't get blanked, the swing bite was slow.

So, ocassinally, we pulled out the bobber rod and went to town on them. It got a big crazy there for a while. He also went home with his first Truckee slam🤘👊

See you soon Lucas, hell of a job out there!

Big picture, I really haven't been posting much this fall at all. It's been as busy as ever, and conditions are in great shape.

That said, a little freaking weather would be nice. We've had high pressure, sunny days, and blue skies. Great for tourists, not great for hatches.

The extended forecast is looking clear and warmer if you can believe it🤷‍♂️

It's hard to complain, but damn it'd be nice to throw dries and streamers a little more consistently 😄
