Our pal Liv recently celebrated New Bike Day! Hana and Liv sourced this vintage Bridgestone XO-2 in excellent shape and dressed it up in parts that will keep it rolling for many more years. Some highlights include the Wolf Tooth Components ring on Sugino cranks, a wide-range 1x10 drivetrain, SimWorks USA Homage tires, cable housing, and framebag, and a front dynamo hub for reliable, battery-free lighting. Liv took this bike out on its maiden voyage this past weekend on our monthly group ride. Happy NBD!!

This weekend is the last Sunday of the month, which means we’ll be hosting a group ride! This months ride will start at the west side Olympia Coffee location on Harrison, and we’ll ride 7ish miles to Downtown via French Loop Rd along the inlet, ending at our neighborhoods le vo**ur for the best brunch in town.

We’ll meet at 11 the coffee shop and head out shortly after, so arrive a little early if you want a cup of coffee beforehand.

The route has some moderate hills and one big climb but we will stop to regroup as needed- this is a no-drop ride.

We may not want to admit it, but the seasons are changing around here! Shorter days, cooler breezes, and wetter mornings are all well on their way. Now is a great time to get your bike kitted up for fall. We have many things in stock to get you ready, including lights, a fine selection of handle bar tape to suit your taste, baskets and bungie nets, pedals & other goodies from Sim Works, and pretty much anything you need to get your drivetrain refreshed. We’re open today-Saturday 11-5:30!

Taking a page out of the Hello, bike shop. Manual for Success and Positivity™️, we are highlighting staff and their rides. This will be a short series because we only have 2 staff members, but first up is Hana. Hana is a mechanic extraordinaire/customer service specialist/all-around shop professional. They’re pictured here with their Crust Bikes Lightning Bolt. This is an impeccable build featuring a SON Nabendynamo hub, XT 11 speed drivetrain with Spécialités T.A. cranks, SimWorks USA cable housing, Ron Andrews cages, Rene Herse Cycles 48mm knobby tires, among other things. Man this thing slaps. Hana rides this bike around town, on gravel rides, to and from work, and pretty much everywhere else.

IT’S THE LAST SUNDAY OF THE MONTH! So let’s go for a fun lil bike ride. This time we will depart from Bar Frances at 1pm, take our time riding the bike paths out to Boston Harbor Marina where one could pick up a snack or a beverage. From there it is a short roll down to Burfoot beach, a great spot for a snack break and a swim. Ride destination is the beach and it’s choose your own adventure back to town. The berries at Carr’s are ripe and they are open for u-pick til 8pm, just saying.

We are back to regular summer hours beginning today! Thanks for your patience while we were closed the past 2 Wednesdays. Our hours are 11-5:30 Wednesday-Saturday and closed Sunday-Tuesday.

Also, check out this Dew we have in stock, size L. Perfect for getting around town, as demonstrated by Hana. We have this bike and the ebike equivalent here at the shop! Come throw a leg over one and see what you think!
