Please read this post in full. We are heartbroken about this, but this is not the end, just the beginning!
Paramount Students and Families,
I want to take the time to thank you for training with me at Paramount Martial Arts. Whether it has been for a few classes, or for several years. I have enjoyed my time teaching and seeing all the successes martial arts has brought to you all.
I have been the owner since 2018, but I have been training since June of 2005, almost 20 years ago. I love the martial arts and passing on knowledge to a new generation. While there were many highlights, there were also some struggles.
With the increasing costs to run a small business, including wages, rent of our space, and many other costs, it is with a heavy heart that it is no longer possible for me to continue running this business. COVID created some financial hardships for everyone, including small businesses. While we were ultimately able to survive, we were not eligible for financial help. We tried our best to bounce back but could not keep up with increasing costs after COVID.
It is with a heavy heart that I have to tell you all this news. Paramount Martial Arts will be closing on October 4th, 2024. We will hold classes until Friday September 27th. I will also be clearing out our space in the meantime and putting up extra equipment for sale. If there are any questions on the matter, please set up a time to speak to me. This will be an incredibly busy and stressful time for me and I unfortunately can not give everyone the time they may want. This was not an easy decision, and it took some long conversations with my instructors and mentors, Professor Mark Casey and SiGung Elizabeth Casey, to come to this conclusion. It is time for me to start helping myself a little, after offering help to many for so long.
All tuition will be stopped before the date listed above.
This is not the end of Paramount Martial Arts. I do plan on starting back up one day on a smaller scale, and hopefully building back from there, and I will make sure to reach out to everyone when that happens. If you would like to look into private lessons, I may be able to do those from time to time. Please see me for contact info if you would like to keep up with private lessons.
I am sorry this is happening, but it is the unfortunate nature of many small businesses out there. I wish everyone the best in their future endeavors. I look forward to when I get to work with everyone again. If you would like to stay in touch, please let me know.
Sincerely,
Sifu Zach Fox
