If this isn’t the whole damn point.

The post workout feeling, hitting a new PR, knowing I’m bettering myself and my body each time I pick up this barbell and appreciating what my body can do right now.

It’s not always easy to get to the gym, not every workout is noteworthy, but showing up everyday to be better is why I do what I do 🫶🏻

First off it’s humbling to watch yourself sprint on camera, it feels much faster than it looks 😂

But sprint training is absolutely worth the hype. Sprints work on speed training and increasing our VO2 max (a measure of your cardiovascular fitness)

5-Minute Treadmill Warmup 🔥

20 Butt kicks
20 Tip toes
20 High knees
20 Hip openers
30s Skipping
3 minute incline walk
20 Side bends
20 Twists

Warmups can literally be anything you want to do that helps raise your body temperature, get the blood flowing and start to prep you for your workout.

Some days I do more if I’m feeling extra stiff and some days just walking on the treadmill feels like all that I want to do!

Let’s talk meal prep 😋

I don’t meal prep all my meals for the week, or even for the day.

I have staple ingredients that I keep on hand to use for a variety of meal options.

When I’m inspired, have some extra time or some ingredients that are maybe about to go bad I do a big batch of prep like this taco mac-n- cheese.

This way when life gets busy I have some quick meal options stocked in the freezer (I’m talking easier to cook than a frozen pizza). 🍕

When I do prep my food often prep ingredients, ie., a protein source, veggies, or rice so when I go to see what we have in the fridge, I can grab a few things and turn it into something delicious.

Meal prep doesn’t have to be such a big event. Find what works for you and slowly start building your repertoire 😚

Summer routines feel easy ☀️—long days, extra energy, outdoor workouts.
But as the seasons shift 🍂, it’s easy to fall off track.

Here’s what I’ve learned ⬇️
It’s not about motivation.
It’s about routine.

✨ Laying out gym clothes the night before.
✨ Scheduling workouts like appointments.
✨ Shortening the session but still showing up.

Seasons change.
Schedules change.
But your consistency? That’s what carries you.

Monday reminder 💌

It’s okay if you didn’t hit a PR in the gym today.
It’s okay if you ate donuts and cookies yesterday.
It’s okay if you didn’t hit your step count.
It’s okay if today just wasn’t it.

Every day is a new day to show up.

Some days the bar feels heavy, some days we don’t get out for a walk, and some days we don’t hit our protein goal.

The ONLY thing we can do is move forward and try again.

The gym does not have to be all or nothing. Little steps still move you forward.
