I have noticed an increase in ticks trail riding and in our general environment this year. Check your animals and persons thoroughly. We have had two past cases of Lyme disease, and one of Rickettsia from tick bites in our herd.

☀️Friday Funday with the Limitless crew Meraki Health! Today we had strong helpers scrubbing water troughs and playing in the algae and water 💪 We had fun finding rocks, swinging, and playing horse soccer! ⚽️

Thursday riders worked through bio-mechanics of mounting & dismounting as well as posting. They also practiced patterns while trotting, and walk-trot transitions for responsiveness and accurate cues.

Wednesday riders rode ba****ck for the first time, learned diagonal patterns, trot patterns, and learned saddle & bridle terminology 🤠

Proud of our Tuesday riders for accomplishing independent trotting, posting off lunge, 2 handed balance exercises trotting, and learning the half-halt. Great work everyone! 🙌🤠

✔️The Facts About Screwworm from the American Horse Council

The American Horse Council (AHC) is working to share critical information for horse owners regarding the current New World Screwworm (NWS) infestation recently announced in Texas.

On June 3, 2026, the U.S. Department of Agriculture confirmed New World Screwworm in the umbilical area of a calf in Zavala County, Texas. This expansion into the United States is alarming and AHC wants to make sure you know about the potential risks of this parasitic fly to horses.

While this might seem like an overwhelming and scary situation, we’ve dealt with this before and have confidence in current science based strategies. The United States historically was afflicted with Screwworm for hundreds of years before successfully eliminating it from the country in the 1960s using many of the same methods we use now.

We’ve eliminated it before, and have full faith we’ll do it again, but only if all horse owners do their part to stay vigilant and follow state guidelines for animal movement.

‼️ Read the facts here: https://horsecouncil.org/screwworm/

Monday night riders worked through the barrel pattern, began working a USDF pattern at the walk-trot, and focused on trotting goals. Hazel & Kala did a great job with their first lesson together too! 🤠

🎶 Rhythm of Connection 🐴 July 17 / 5:30-7pm
Join us for our next monthly mini retreat The Equine Connection: Rhythm of Connection. Step into a creative and immersive experience where music becomes a bridge for connection. In this unique equine coaching session, participants are invited to explore rhythm, sound, and presence alongside the herd. Through a guided process, you’ll gently merge into the herd while playing simple instruments allowing sound to become your way of communicating and relating.
No musical or horse experience is needed. Instruments will be simple and accessible, creating a welcoming space to play, explore, and connect, both with the horses and within yourself!
