TEAM ILLINOIS 14U READY TO TAKE ON THE NATION IN FLORIDA

The next generation of Illinois wrestling talent is set to take center stage as Team Illinois travels to Wesley Chapel, Florida, for the 2026 USA Wrestling 14U National Dual Championships.

Illinois enters the event looking to build upon an outstanding performance from last year's squad, which earned a National Runner-Up finish in Greco-Roman and a Top-5 finish in Freestyle while proving that Illinois remains one of the premier wrestling states in the country.

This year's Team Illinois roster is loaded with talent from every corner of the state. The team features top placers and champions from the Illinois Freestyle and Greco-Roman State Championships, along with wrestlers who have found success on the regional and national stage at events such as the USA Wrestling Open and Northern Plains Regional Championships.

The strength of Team Illinois extends beyond the roster. A dedicated and experienced coaching staff has assembled a team capable of competing with the nation's best in both Freestyle and Greco-Roman competition. The combination of proven leadership, hard work, and elite-level talent has created high expectations as the team prepares for one of the toughest dual tournaments in the country.

National Duals provides wrestlers with the opportunity to represent their state against the top teams from across the United States, and Team Illinois has a long tradition of rising to the occasion. With depth throughout the lineup and athletes who have proven themselves at every level, Illinois is poised to make another strong run on the national stage.

This year's team is ready to chase even bigger goals.

Olney Cubs Wrestling is proud to have two wrestlers who have been selected to represent Team Illinois this summer!

Diezel will compete this weekend at the Elementary National Duals in Nebraska and Makai will take the mat next week at the 14U National Duals in Tampa.

Being selected to represent Team Illinois is a tremendous honor and a testament to the hard work, dedication, and success these athletes have earned on and off the mat.

We’re proud of both wrestlers and grateful for the opportunities they’ve had to continue developing their skills with PSF Wrestling during the Freestyle and Greco season.

Best of luck to Diezel and Makai as they represent Team Illinois!

We’re excited to offer a Summer Off-Season Training Camp! This is open to anyone, do NOT have to be from Richland County.

Coach Oliver will be leading the camp and focusing on helping athletes continue improving through the summer with extra mat time, technique work, conditioning, and competition preparation.

This is a great opportunity to stay active, grow confidence, and keep developing throughout the off-season.
