Faith in Action. Service with Purpose.

This summer, Good Counsel seniors Adrianna Hernandez and Matthew O'Neil joined fellow Falcons on the annual Good Counsel Service Trip to El Salvador, continuing a tradition that has impacted both our students and our partner communities since 2009.

Working alongside the Building Futures Project, our students served families in the communities of Las Delicias and Ciudad Arce, helping with construction projects, visiting homes, assisting at a daycare center, serving those experiencing food insecurity, and building relationships that transcend language and borders.

While our students traveled to serve others, they returned home with something even greater—a deeper appreciation for faith, gratitude, community, and the dignity of every person they encountered.

We are incredibly proud of Adrianna and Matthew for representing Our Lady of Good Counsel with compassion, humility, and servant leadership.

Today, we proudly celebrate 250 years of the United States of America—honoring the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering spirit of those who have fought to preserve our freedom.

As we gather with family and friends, let us remember that the values of commitment, teamwork, resilience, and service are the same values that define our program.

From our Falcon Hockey family to yours, have a safe and memorable Fourth of July. We can't wait to get back to work as we prepare for another season of representing Good Counsel with pride.

This summer, our players continue to represent Good Counsel Hockey far beyond the rink.

Sophomores Colin FitzPatrick and Stephen Marzen recently volunteered with the Appalachia Service Project (ASP), helping provide critical home repairs that make homes warmer, safer, and drier for families throughout Appalachia.

Each year, more than 12,000 volunteers complete over 3,000 repair projects, impacting hundreds of families through roofing, flooring, accessibility improvements, home repairs, and even new home construction.

We are proud to see Colin and Stephen giving back to others, living out the values of leadership, service, and community.

🚨 HISTORY MADE 🚨

Yesterday marked a HUGE milestone for our program! For the FIRST time in program history, a GC Ice Hockey player earned the school’s Most Outstanding Male Athlete Award!

🏆 Huge congratulations to our Captain, Brett Frick, on winning the Robert Windlan Award!

Brett’s work ethic, leadership, competitiveness, and commitment to our program have been on full display all season long. The way he represents GC Ice Hockey — both on and off the ice — makes this award well deserved.

Honestly, it’s a true testament to who Brett is as a person and leader. Most nights, he was one of the last players to leave the rink, staying behind to make sure the locker room was cleaned up when others didn’t want to. That type of leadership matters, and it says everything about why he earned this honor.

An awesome accomplishment for an awesome player and an even bigger moment for our program. Proud of you, Captain! 👏🐺

🔥 Current Team: Tri-City 14U Red (Lower A)

Liam brings a strong presence in net and continues to grow his game with Tri-City. Goaltenders are the backbone of any program, and we’re looking forward to the focus, compete level, and determination he will add to our group.

We’re excited to have Liam and his family become part of the Falcon community and can’t wait to see him get to work between the pipes in Olney.

The Falcons are excited to announce that Owen Schrider will be joining Good Counsel Hockey as part of our incoming freshman class.

Owen currently plays for the Tri-City Eagles 14U B team, and we are looking forward to having him bring his work ethic and passion for the game to the Falcon program.
