November always seems a long way off... until suddenly it's here.

If you've been thinking about a backcountry deer hunt in the Adirondacks, now is the time to start making plans. Our guided deer camps take hunters deep into remote country where campfires crackle, wall tents glow, and every morning begins with the possibility of crossing paths with a mature Adirondack buck.

These aren't lodge hunts or roadside camps. They're authentic wilderness deer camps built around hard hunting, good company, and the kind of memories that stay with you long after the season ends.

Space is limited each fall, and many of our dates fill well before opening day arrives. If a backcountry deer camp is on your bucket list, booking early is your best bet.

A canoe pulled up on a remote shoreline, trout water stretching out ahead, and nowhere to be but here.

This is what Adirondack canoe tripping is all about. Loading up a We-No-Nah canoe, leaving the road behind, and spending a few days exploring wild waters in search of brook trout, lake trout, salmon, and the kind of places that don't show up in most travel brochures.

Whether it's a weekend getaway or a multi-day wilderness adventure, there's something special about traveling the Adirondacks the way they've been explored for generations—one paddle stroke at a time.

Last week's upload didn't quite do this one justice, so we're giving it another shot in full resolution.

Guide Cody was joined by new guide Jason on the river for a day of fly fishing, working through classic Adirondack trout water in search of brook trout and other coldwater species. Good company, moving water, and plenty of opportunities to put a fly in front of a fish.

Sometimes it's not just about the fish—it's about spending a day wading through beautiful water, learning something new, and enjoying everything the Adirondacks have to offer.

A four-day canoe trip into the backcountry is about a lot more than just the fishing.

Glass-calm mornings, brook trout sizzling on the griddle, fresh tracks in the mud, a snapping turtle on the trail, campfire meals, and stories shared under a lean-to while the rain falls outside. The trout cooperated often enough to keep us smiling, but as always, the fish were only part of the adventure.

Trips like this are a reminder of why we keep coming back to these wild places. A canoe loaded with gear, a few good people, and a remote pond somewhere deep in the Adirondacks can still feel a world away from everything else.

Thanks to a great group for another memorable journey into the backcountry. 🛶🐟🔥

Four days, three nights, and plenty of memories made on some of the Adirondacks' finest backcountry trout waters. The wind howled, the rain came and went, and the rainbow trout and landlocked salmon never really got the memo—but the brook trout sure did. We found enough colorful brookies to keep the rods bent and the campfire stories flowing.

Not every trip is measured by the number of fish caught. Sometimes it's the paddle across a quiet lake at dawn, the sound of loons after dark, and sharing wild places with good people that make a trip a success. Despite the weather, this one was a great adventure from start to finish. 🎣🛶🌧️🏕️

A lot of people picture backcountry trout fishing as one big fish and a quick photo. The reality is usually a little different—and a lot tastier.

This morning, guide Joe and his group of three paddled over to a small pond near camp and found exactly what they were looking for. A handful of Adirondack brook trout headed back to camp for later tonight, proving once again that some of the best fishing happens just a short paddle from camp.

Fresh trout, coffee on the fire, canoes pulled up on shore, and another day of adventure waiting beyond camp. Not a bad way to start the morning. 🎣🌲🛶

Yesterday, guides Jason and Cody spent the day on the river helping a client work through some beautiful Adirondack water. Between the riffles, pools, and pocket water, there were plenty of opportunities, a few trout brought to hand, and memories made along the way.

Fly fishing has a way of slowing things down. One cast at a time, one drift at a time, and before you know it the day is gone. We're looking forward to seeing Jason spend more time on the water with clients this season. 🎣🌲

Guide Cody was back on the river today, spending the day wading Adirondack currents with a client in search of trout. The fishing was steady, the weather cooperated, and the trip was capped off with this beautiful brook trout brought to hand and released to fight another day.

There’s something special about river fishing this time of year. Cold water, fresh green leaves along the banks, and the chance that the next cast could connect with a fish like this. No motors, no crowds—just moving water and trout.

Sometimes a fish stops you in your tracks.

This beautiful 16-inch brook trout slid into the net today, glowing with the colors that make Adirondack brookies so special. The crimson fins, golden flanks, and blue halos around those red spots never get old, no matter how many years you've spent chasing them.

Fish like this are a reminder of why we paddle miles into remote waters, why we wake up before sunrise, and why we keep coming back. Not because they happen every day—but because they don't. 🎣🌲

A brook trout like this is something special anywhere, but seeing one in the net on an Adirondack pond is enough to make an entire trip.

Sometimes the best fishing trips aren't the ones you spend all day planning.

After work today, guide Joe slipped away for a quick two-hour fly fishing session on a small Adirondack brook. The reward was this beautiful native brook trout, fooled on a dry fly and released back into the cold, clear water it calls home.

It's hard to beat moments like these. No boats, no motors, no schedule—just a fly rod, a quiet stream, and one of the most beautiful fish that swims in the Adirondacks. The big fish get most of the attention, but these little natives are a reminder of why we fell in love with trout fishing in the first place. 🎣🌲
