Top Gun Farm will be hosting another International Sporthorse Registry and Oldenburg Registry North America (ISR/OLD NA) inspection on Saturday August 30th, 2025 at Brecksville Stables and Equine Park, Brecksville, OH .

** this event is open to the public and very educational. Great platform to learn a bit about sporthorse breeding and connect w breeders and trainers.or just enjoy watching lovely horses and seeing foals up close.. they never disapoint😊

We got the greatest call from the vet today!! A year later It's important that I point out that this has been a Long and strategic process. But Gunny's numbers are normal and in perfect range!!
26.5!!! When he was critical it was over 200!!
( normal is 10 to 40)
He was always a healthy sound pony. I am very particular about my feed program and have never had an issue with any of my ponies. BUT. What I did not have complete control of was our hay. Yes We had a regular steady supplier. Yes we test .But, we were sent hay from different fields , and it was off the charts in sugars and mold! Mold we cld not smell or detect. Imagine our surprise when it was tested😳 it was immediately removed and replaced. Sadly the damage was done.Gunny was In a bad way. Quite honestly the most heart breaking and awful thing I have ever experienced .He cld not stand for long. Greg literally held him up so I cld pack his feet every nite. He was on a quite cocktail of pain meds.And he was down for weeks. He cld not walk. ( short version) But he fought hard and I was NOT giving up on him . We have managed him carefully with our great vets at cleveland equine .With the support of my good friend Heather Walter and our amazing BUCKEYE Nutrition family, he is a healthy, sound and happy boy. Completely med free...💙This probably would not have been possible without the perfectly timed new product available to us. Low N Steady has literally helped save his life. He was on a trial prior to the roll out and the timing could not have been any better!! Thank God for my friend Lilly Ehrman and her knowing it was just what we needed💙
It is important to have a good relationship with your feed company. Get to know your reps and don't just call when there's an issue. The support and planning is all the difference! Thank you Lilly and Buckey Nutrition.

Gunny is thriving on this rehab plan. It wouldn't be possible w out Sarah Vas to help me implement my ideas. May sound crazy to some, but it is working!! He is Happy, Sound and I'm now rotating rides w drives . So special to have him back at it💜 and I am learning this scary new gig ( the right way, ) 💜 my comfort is ON the horse, taking the reigns in this carriage is way out if my comfort zone!
