The UO Bowling Comets went to Jackson Michigan today to compete in the Alma Scotty Classic and had our best event of the year by far for both our Men & Women’s teams.

The guys had a solid qualifying set of full team games, that had us positioned in 3rd place of 12 teams at the transition to the Baker sets. After the first four game Baker set, we were less than 50 out of 2nd and 90 out of 1st place with 12 games to go. We struggled the next few Baker sets while the top two teams bowled well. Still a great day with a 4th place finish, our best of the season.

Our UO ladies team bowled Great today, led by coach Jerry, as they finished second place on the day for our best event of the year! This team has come a long way with the leadership and guidance of Coach Jerry and I’m thankful for his help with the program!

I’m very proud of all the UO Bowlers that helped our cause and I am excited for the future, as I am confident that y’all have the ability to shine bright as (UO) Comets!

Congrats to Kendalyn Wilson on finishing in the top 5 for her 2nd All Tournament team in a row, and on being selected as the Female Comet of the Week!!! Keep up the Great Work!

The UO Bowling Comets were in action today down in FT Wayne, Indiana. Special shout out to Kendalyn Wilson for making her 2nd all tournament team in a row, as she finished 5th in the individual standings. Also a shout out to Raymon Brown who had a personal best individually, while finishing 12th on the day. Great job all and it was nice to see the guys climb the ladder after a slow start as a team. There are signs of steady improvement and I’m proud of all that are working hard on their game(s).

The UO Bowling Comets were in action this weekend in Adrian and we continued our journey of gaining experience and showing signs of improvement. I want to give a special shout out to Kendalyn Wilson who finished 4th on the ladies side for the day with an impressive 804 series! Great bowling and keep it going!!!

The Varsity Bowling Teams were active last weekend at the Cornerstone in GR. We have a large group of 1st year students that are learning what bowling collegiately is about and i look forward to a bright future. Here are some random pics from the event. Come watch us this weekend in Canton!

UO Bowling friends, family(s) & followers,
The UO Bowling team competed in our 1st event of the season this weekend at Richfield Lanes in Flint, Mi. While we didn’t set any event records, or come away with a team win, we did show signs of notable improvement! in speaking with the players after a full 9-1/2 hour day on the lane that’s non stop with no breaks, they all unanimously agree that words don’t well describe the difference in bowling Collegiate events, in comparison to what they’ve experienced leading up to now…. I have to say that I’m proud and impressed with the way that our 15 new athletes embraced Bowling for UO! Welcome to the team, we have a bright future ahead!
