As another Battie Mixon Fishing Rodeo comes to a close, we are filled with gratitude for everyone who made this special day possible.

To our generous donors, thank you for your unwavering support and belief in our mission. Your contributions help ensure that this tradition continues to create lasting memories for children and families throughout our community.

To our dedicated volunteers, thank you for the countless hours spent planning, preparing, organizing, and serving. From the early morning setup to the final cleanup, your hard work and commitment are the backbone of this event.

To our committed leaders and organizers, thank you for your vision, guidance, and tireless efforts throughout the year. Your leadership keeps this cherished tradition strong and ensures its continued success for future generations.

Most importantly, thank you to the families, participants, and supporters who joined us and made the day so memorable. Seeing children enjoy the outdoors, learn the value of patience and sportsmanship, and create lifelong memories reminds us why this event has remained such an important part of our community.

Together, we continue a tradition that is about much more than fishing. It is about service, fellowship, community, and investing in the next generation.

☀️ What a day. What a crowd. What a vibe. ❤️🎣

This year's event was absolutely incredible and not just because we were blessed with beautiful weather. The thing that stood out most was the atmosphere. The kindness. The patience. The laughter. The families making memories together.

We were truly blown away by how sweet, polite, respectful, and well-behaved the kids were this year. ❤️ Moms, Dads, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and everyone helping raise these kiddos—you deserve a huge round of applause. 👏

In a world full of screens and distractions, you took the time to get them outside, unplugged, and surrounded by family, friends, and a community that cares about them. That's something special. It really does take a village and yesterday was a beautiful reminder of what that village looks like.

And to all of the parents and families who stopped to thank our volunteers, share kind words, and let us know how much the event meant to you, we felt the love all day long. 🥰

Thank you all for making this year's rodeo so special. It was beautiful in more ways than one. 💙🎣

🎣 A special thank you to Dave Morgan for joining us at the 78th Annual Battie Mixon Kids' Fishing Rodeo yesterday!

💙 Iit means a lot when local leaders take the time to come out and show their support.

🤝 Dave has always been generous with his time, approachable, and willing to engage with the people he serves. We truly appreciate him spending part of his day with us and supporting an event that means so much to so many families.

🇺🇸 As we look ahead to the upcoming election, we're grateful for leaders who continue to show up, stay involved, and support the things that bring our community together.
