🏀 NEAAU is Coming Back to Maine! 🏀
After 8 long years, the NEAAU Maine State Championship is officially returning — and we couldn’t be more excited to be part of its comeback!
✅ 10 teams are already locked in
📆 Limited space available in all age groups
📋 Schedules will be released 1 week in advance so teams can plan accordingly
🚫 No back-to-back games
⏰ No 8 AM tip-offs
This is your chance to be a part of something special as we help bring AAU basketball back to Maine the right way — with NEAAU and the 2025 Maine State Championship!
After a long 8 years, the return of NEAAU to Maine is happening!
In collaboration with NEAAU we will be bringing back the long awaited Maine State Championship.
Here are some key event details:
*May 16-18th
* Two divisions of play per age group (3-12th)
* Minimum of 3 games per team, including bracket play
* Awards for Champions and Runners-Up
* Champions in Grades 8+ earn free entry to the NEAAU Northeast Conference Championship in Massachusetts
* Entry fee: $300 per team
* Discount available for programs registering 3 or more teams
This is a fantastic opportunity to close out your spring season with high-level competition and a great basketball atmosphere. NEAAU is committed to delivering a top-tier experience, and with your involvement, we can make this event truly special.

Maine Sting Athletics is an AAU Baseball and Basketball program under the umbrella of the Old Town Recreation Center.
The Maine Sting mission is to teach youth athletes in the pursuit of playing at the highest caliber of sports, while maintaining respect and sportsmanship towards players, opponents, coaches, and officials.
Our success is measured by how teams and individual players conduct themselves. We will win with class, lose with class, and always show support towards our teammates, and opponents, no matter the situation, and we will always respect the game we are playing.
We will practice and play with absolute intensity.
The Sting leadership will be relentless in our mission to improve the character of every player.
Maine Sting will strive to push academic focus for all of our players. We recognize that athletic ability may get them to high levels, however, it is education that is the greatest value that will push them to bigger success.
