Our Little League season has now officially come to an end!

Did it turn out the way you thought it would?

Now we rest, which doesn't mean we don't still think about baseball or softball. It just means we won't be active for a little while. But that's ok, we were very busy and definitely deserve a little break.

Let's take some time off now, though we still have lots to talk about after all these games (I'm still 4-5 behind).

If anything that happened made you wonder, or ponder, or scratch your head, or be curious about the WHY, take a few minutes to look it up in the Rule Book. Learn a little from what other people did, or didn't do!

Speaking for D4, we will start training again in late January, maybe early February. These will be in-person trainings once a week until the Regular Season gets started, getting us all up to speed and ready to call games.

In 2027 this page will also once again have a rules-related feature, though I haven't settled on a name just yet. But it will be all about learning rules and their proper application during a game. If you have a suggestion, I'm all ears!

This past season was fun, and we are already looking forward to next season!

Ok people...today it happens!

We have 3rd & 4th place being decided at 10am. Japan v Great Lakes, this will be on ESPN.

At 3pm we have the CHAMPIONSHIP GAME! Curacao v Mountain Region on ABC. Two powerful teams will battle it out, with the winner taking home the title of 2026's Little League World Series Champions!

Good Luck to ALL teams playing today!!

TODAY is the day!

We have a Challenger Division game followed by TWO Championship Games.

Game # 1 is in the Challenger Division. PA v CA at 1030am.

Championship Game 1 is in the International Division. Caracao v Japan at 1230pm on ABC.

Championship Game 2 is in the US Division. Mountain Region v Great Lakes Region, at 330pm and also on ABC.

I'm still 4-5 games behind, but at this point I'm not watching to see who wins, I'm watching to catch the action (and watch the Umpires rotate!).

There has been some really good stuff going on. It's always fun to watch these players giving it their all, competing at the highest level! Lots of things to discuss for sure!

AND - if you've never been to Williamsport to catch a game (or two or ten), you really should consider going! It will be a great experience!!

Today is a Rest Day for the LLWS!

Tomorrow will be the International and US Championship Games, where the teams headed to the Championship on Sunday will be determined.

I didn't watch yesterday's games yet, so no spoilers! I'm hoping to watch them later on today...

Has the Tournament gone the way you expected? How did YOUR team do?

08/27/2026

Only TWO games today, BOTH at 9am!

We have Latin America v Japan on ESPN2.

We also have Midwest v Great Lakes on ESPN.

Which one are you watching? Of course, there's always the Record Option...watch one live catch the other one in Replay.

I was only able to watch the last few innings of yesterday's late game, so Replay Option is how I'm watching most of these games.

Speaking of Replay (Review/Challenges), what are your thoughts on the use of Review/Replay for calls during games? There were a couple overturned calls yesterday in that game. Is it good because it's about "getting the call right", or does it take away the "human element"?

People make the play decisions. People put the ball in play. People make the plays. People make the decisions on the outcome of those plays based on rules/interpretations.

Another day...another set of FOUR games!

We are deep into Elimination Games, every game puts a teams longevity on the line!

Games again today at 1pm, 3pm, 5pm and ending with another 7pm game. International games at 1 & 3, US games at 3 & 7. If you can't watch live, set your recorder so you don't miss any of the action.

As I have mentioned before, though it's better to watch live, the benefit of watching later is you get to skip ahead, or rewind and watch a play over and over again. A great learning and/or teaching tool!

There's always going to be something that is going to generate some lively discussions amongst your group of people - whether that's parents, coaches, players or Umpires!

08/25/2026

What’s your call if this happens in your game?
*edited to add details: Ball was live, bases loaded, pitcher on the pitcher’s plate.

08/25/2026

I only got to watch one of yesterday's games live, and it was PA v AL. And what a game it was!!

Today we once again have FOUR games, starting at 1pm and then every two hours after that. We are in Elimination Games now, so every game means someone is going home! So you know every team will be putting their best efforts forward.

Every game there is definitely something that can generate some good conversations - whether it's about a Managers strategy, a play made (or not made!), or how the Umpires are doing.

Discussions are good to have as it's a great way to learn.

Let's learn more today!

Games today are at 1pm, 3pm, 5pm and 7pm. Another full day of games for us to watch and enjoy.

Is it going the way you thought it would?

Is your team still in it, or have they been eliminated?
