Hey guys! This year I’m excited to announce the triumphant return of at on December 15th from 12-5! Tim was gracious enough to allow and myself to throw another fish fueled party. We have even more vendors than last year, with some really exciting additions to the list!

We’ll be doing a couple of raffle pulls with all proceeds going to the , you just have to be there to see what we have in store for ya!

Come out, grab a beer, talk fish, get some last minute stocking stuffers, or plugs for your personal stash! Next season is right around the corner! Hope to see ya’ll there!

Well guys, I knew I was going to have to post this sooner rather than later. With more and more of you asking about when I’ll be open for the upcoming season-now is the best time. Unfortunately I will not be able open this season for a few reasons. I wanted to take a second to thank each and every one of you who took time out of your day to come check out the space, deal with the parking fiasco, funky hours, and waiting on me to show up when I inevitably stayed on the rocks far too long the night before. The deli/tackle shop was something I grew up with in New Jersey and I was so excited to make it a reality here!

I hope this isn’t the end for Vacationland, but if it is, at least I was able to learn a ton, and meet all of you amazing fishermen, and women.

Best of luck to this season who’ll be using the new space as an opportunity to add some new seating as well as even more menu options! Can’t thank you both enough for the opportunity.

Fresh restock!! Alex from hooked it up with these ones too! If you haven’t tried his plugs yet, you should really consider hopping on the bandwagon BEFORE the fall run starts. His work has been a staple in not only my, but many other of my friends’ bags this season!

🗣️🗣️ updated report week of 8/6! 🗣️🗣️This past week of fishing felt like old times to many. Water temps are back down and the bass were feeding like they’re getting ready for something! (Don’t want to use the F word too soon) The Vacationland Crew had bass using a variety of methods, needlefish, metal lips, and soft plastic sluggos/eel imitations. Most of these bass came off of transition zones in the beach where more shallow water meets deeper holes. Ledges and boulder fields continue to be productive as well on incoming tides.

Although the bluefish have continued to evade us, plenty of people are catching them! Focus on the sunrise bite as well as those daytime tides for your best shot as one of those gatahzzzz!

I’m leaving @ noon today but there’s people here if you need stuff! Open 7 days a week 7-3 for all your surfcasting/inshore fishing needs

Updated report for the weekend. This morning brought my first real report of the season of bluefish action. came in after he had a morning of doubles and triples of bluefish with his homies! He also reported some bass being mixed in the bunch. Some bass are being caught off the beaches as well, you just have to keep it moving and find them! Try if possible to continue to focus on low light fishing, as the heat of the day combined with bright sun A) aren’t ideal for fishing, and B) can bring a lot more stress on a fish we’re planning on releasing. If you do catch a fish you plan to release with current water temps, do your best to and fully revive them until they kick off on their own.

Personally I’m most excited about these bluefish! I was starting to think we weren’t going to see good numbers of them this season! Tight lines everyone

❗️FISHING REPORT FOR THE WEEK❗️ This moon, as expected, has had fish fired up! The great bite that opened up with the start of the moon continued with the storm. Larger fish have been being taken on various plugs from HEAVY (3oz) needles, mag darters, bottle plugs, and diving metal lips, my go to was the goblin, after tuning the plug by adjusting the line tie it was able to hold in the larger water, and was just getting crushed. Classic summer conditions were the program, ledges on the incoming tide and river mouths on the drop! Continuing to fish hard through the rest of the week, I’ll be sure to bring you guys a report for the weekend as the moon comes to an end.

We have plenty of eels, mackerel, and clams in stock heading into the weekend as well. Remember, if you need me here later than 3, just reach out and let me know. I’m happy to stay as long as you need.

We were finally able to get some more up on the shelves! Since we’re doing the eel skins, Alex asked if we wanted these notched eel skin plugs, it was a no brainer 👊🏼 these crushers can be fished with, or without skins. They’ll catch either way! Have a pretty big delivery coming today of unloaded redfins, disappearing pink leader material, and a couple other goodies. Stop on by, I’ll be here until 3 or so! 39 old orchard street, Maine!
