emple Chinese Boxing” is a version of Southern Praying Mantis Kung Fu. Our art is one only passed down from teacher to student, without being described in manuals.
“Jook Lum Temple Chinese Boxing” techniques incorporate a philosophy of internal energy Chi development, with short power striking, and pressure point striking which is intended for self-defense. But, Cornett’s Secret Art of Praying Mantis Kung Fu is about more than martial arts moves and techniques – it is a Chinese martial art which goes far back in time, when values like honor and respect were as important as any physical technique or skill. Here at our martial arts school in Nashville, TN- Sifu Cornett continues to assign that same value to honor and respect, and teach those qualities in partnership with all the physical aspects of Southern Praying Mantis Kung Fu.
