On Friday, September 25th The Nassau County Fire Service Academy and the Nassau County EMS Academy along with police officers from NASSAU COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT homeland security hosted our fifth annual MCI training day for the Zucker School of medicine.

100 medical students participated in what we call “disaster day”.

The scenarios are put together to culminate the training of the medical students completing New York State emergency medical technician training.

A video link is in our bio as a brief overview of some of the things that the anticipated future doctors will deal with in the emergency department of their respective hospitals.

Nassau County Fire Academy | Department Operations

Training today. Prepared for tomorrow. 🚒

Over the past few months at the Nassau County Fire Academy, dedicated fire instructors work alongside firefighters to strengthen skills, sharpen decision-making, and reinforce the fundamentals of firefighting and emergency operations.

Through hands-on drills, realistic scenarios, and continuous training, firefighters build the knowledge, confidence, and teamwork needed to operate safely and effectively when it matters most.

Train hard. Stay ready. Serve with confidence.
