Okie's East Kansas Deer Recovery When in doubt, back out and call Okie the deer tracking dog Okie is a German Wirehaired Dachshund bred and trained to track deer.

His parents are part of respected tracking teams in Oklahoma, hence the name. I am an avid deer hunter myself and together we help hunters in East Central Kansas recovery deer they have shot but not found.
