It's about time!
When I served in the Air Force, running fitness was useful, but it seemed that everything over 40 lbs was treated as a 2-man lift.
We had gear that exceeded that.
When you're geared up, you need strength WITH endurance.

The pushups and situps of the 1980s will be replaced by deadlifts, a medicine-ball throw and other drills better suited to prepare soldiers for modern warfare.
