was a blast! Racing at night is always very exciting. Theres something about rolling out onto the track for a feature race under the lights that adds a little prestige! ✨️
With SR Honda being the most competitive class at this track we had a total of 14 cars to try and beat for the win. P3 to p2 in our heat put us 5th in the A main and showed me the car was close. Been working like a mad man trying to get our dirt setup dialed in since coming off the pavement.
The A main had a lot of contact from about 4th back. Lost count on yellows but maybe 10. Ozzy was ready to race and was up on the wheel the whole time staying clean up front. He worked up to 3rd and fought hard with the top 3 guys. We got a yellow on a restart towards the end, had to drop back 2 positions (restart zone), then wheel it back up there. Our race timed out at 20 minutes while we were running 3rd. Not where we wanted to finish but with some more seat time on the dirt we will be standing on that tall block soon!!
Congrats to our guy Ozzy on his first podium finish circle track dirt racing at I-5 Quarter Midget Club! 🏁 Thank you to the club for giving us a good track to race on!
