The annual rabbit hunt will take place on February 21,2026. Pay at weigh in. 100 percent of entries are paid back to the winners.

Rabbit Hunt Rules 2026
1. Up to 2 Person per Team. If you wish to Hunt on your own you are welcome to do so.
2. $20 Entry Fee Per Team
3. Hunt from 7:30 AM – 11:30 weigh in at Sammy's in Spencer, IA 11:30 sharp no late entries allowed.
4. Any legal means of take, but different points awarded.
a. Shotgun = 10 points
b. Rifle = 20 points
c. Pistol non shotgun = 40 points
d. Bow/ crossbow = 80 points
e. Biggest Rabbit = 20 points
f. Most Rabbits = 20 points
g. Note – all Rabbits must be wild Rabbits….
h. Scoring example…a team of two hunts for 4 hrs, one with a 22 cal rifle and the other with a shotgun. They shoot 3 rabbits with the shotgun and 2 with the rifle. They end up with the “big bunny” but not the most rabbits. Thus, the team scores 90 pts (30+40+20).
5. Highest point total wins. If there is a tie, the winner’s purse will be split evenly between the two teams.
6. Have fun but also be extremely careful

Another great day of ice fishing. We had a good group of people out on the ice with some new faces mixed in. Thanks for coming!

ATTENTION! We have decided to move the location to Emerson Bay on West O. One of our fearless members went out scouting this afternoon and saw a few issues with the boat ramp at Hattie Elston. For your safety and ours we decided to move. Mark Tjossem says that the fish are bigger at Emerson as well. Hope to see you all there tomorrow!

The annual ice fishing outing is set for January 10, 2026. This event is for all ages. If you have never been ice fishing before or are highly experienced come on out. There will be food provided and door prizes handed out. Time and location will be provided at a later date.
