Congratulations to our Tuesday Community Game winners, Louis and Junior! 👏🎉
Every Tuesday at the Thurman Family Pickleball Center, we host a community game for the players to encourage connection, competition, and fun! Our games rotate weekly so keep you eyes out for games such as rotating partner round robins, king of the court style competitions, or even something new!

We see Junior and Louis on the courts pretty frequently, so we decided to ask them a few of our burning pickleball questions! 🔥
🏓 How long have you been playing pickleball?
Louis: 3 years
Junior: 1 year
🏓 What got you into pickleball?
Junior: “I played sand volleyball for 3 years and was looking for something new. A buddy of mine (shoutout Mason!) introduced me to the sport. I played a few games, brought in some people, took a class, and the rest is history.”
Louis: “I learned from a teacher at college. I was looking for something to do that was exercise. I picked up pickleball again and became addicted to it!”
🏓 What's the best thing about pickleball at the Thurman Family Pickleball Center?
Louis: “Good competition, great staff, and an outstanding community.”
Junior: “Meeting and playing with new people and enjoying the new experiences that come with it.”
🏓 What's your favorite shot?
Louis: “The drop shot… when it works!”
Junior: “Topspin serves or drop volleys. I like to think of shots like baseball and love other shots where you can add spin and curve the ball.”
🏓 What advice do you have for players looking to grow as competitors?
Louis: “Give 100%. Whether it’s every point, every game, or every match, give it your all!”
