BLHOT When the club needed a name, we decided to call it Blimey Limeys and a Harley or Two...BLHOT. But as time went on, several folks purchased new and old HD's.

Started in the early 80's in Oklahoma City as a British motorcyle club (Triumphs, BSAs & Nortons), over the years members added many makes, and all are welcome. We have been around since the early 80's and started off as just a British Club (Triumphs, BSAs & Nortons). We really didn't have a name for the club at that time. So when the club needed to come up with a name in the late 80's, some one s

aid we should call our selves the Blimey Limey and a Harley Or Two. And that's where the name comes from. Since the mid 80's several of our members were getting tired of wrenching on the old iron, and purchased other makes of bikes. Currently we have over 120 folks on the email list. And just about every make of motor cycle made. We have just about every model of Japanese cruiser and sport bikes, MV's, Ducs, Beemers, new Triumphs, Street Endos, and the list goes on and on. Me, I own new and old Triumphs, a BSA, a Matchless, plus a late model Honda ST. The club has grown quit a bit just in the last 10 years, do to our age group. We've got some new and old folks that like to ride fast, and new and old folks that just like to cruise. Male and Female riders. Several couples will ride two up. We'll plan rides for our old and new iron. Even on the days that we plan to ride the old iron, several members will show up on their new iron just for the ride. Old iron rides aren't very far, they some times break down and the new iron folks give us a ride to get tools or a trailer/pick-up to get the broken down old iron home. The new iron rides are short & longer distance rides. Just last year we did a distance ride to Muskogee for lunch. Then the next week we did a ride to Ark. We also do 'breakfast rides' to out of the way places around the metro city. Our ages run from the high teens, all the way up to 80. Yes, I said 80, and he makes several of the rides and most of the meetings. We even have one man who is 85 but doesn't ride anymore, but he comes to some of our meetings, and at either our starting or lunch point of the ride. He's just like us, he likes motor cycles! We have members all over the state and several out of state (TX, ARK, KS & N Mex). We are more of a family type club. Language is clean, and we don't ride to bars for a beer, and there is NO drinking on our rides. But at the meeting, some will have ONE beer. Our club meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. This is a dinner meeting and we move the meeting around every month to different locations. We try and get our meeting location posted on our web site. But I'm the one that sends out the meeting location via email, and I also control the email list. We will have any where from 10 to 45 people show up at the meetings. Some will ride, some will drive. We are a fair weather club. If it's raining, or the streets are wet, or if it's cold, attendance will be down. If it's dry and warm, we'll fill a parking lot with just about every type of bike on the market. After dinner we have a very short meeting, and then go out side and look/talk motor cycles.

Maybe the rain will hold off this time.
