We are heartbroken to share the passing of a member of the Cleats for Kids family, Meredith Tatum.
For more than five years, Meredith was part of the C4K team. Throughout her time with us, she served in a variety of roles: championing our Locker Room, leading our Young Professionals Board, collaborating with our program partners, helping bring our events to life, and ultimately serving as a Programs Manager.
Meredith had a gift for people. Whether she was welcoming you through the doors of our Locker Room, making you fabulous food, arranging a beautiful floral bouquet just for you, or sharing her contagious laugh, she had a way of making everyone feel like a friend.
Meredith was incredibly smart and never one to shy away from a challenge. She had a way of seeing a problem, tackling it head-on, and finding a way forward. And while she often preferred to work behind the scenes, her bright, bubbly personality made her impossible not to notice.
During her time at C4K, Meredith helped us serve thousands of Oklahoma kids. Her passion for kids, sports, and our mission bubbled over into everything she did. Her fingerprints are on so much of the work we do and on the lives of so many children and families we have had the privilege of serving.
Her impact on Cleats for Kids will live on in the work we do, in the kids we serve, and in the lives of the countless people she touched along the way. We will miss her laughter, her kindness, her determination, and most of all, the way she made everyone feel like they belonged.
Our hearts are with Meredith’s family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
