What an incredible few weeks it has been for Brisket Butts BBQ!

This weekend we had the pleasure of catering Quintin & Katie’s wedding at The barn at Lions Garden Estate.

For their special day, we served up our award-winning brisket and ribs, along with mac & cheese, our World Champion Baked Beans, corn, and Caesar salad.

And once again, the feedback absolutely made our day. Hearing the bride, groom, family, and guests come up to us throughout the evening saying “that was the best wedding meal we’ve ever had” is something we never get tired of hearing. 😊

There’s a lot of work that goes into preparing a wedding meal, so seeing everyone enjoying the food and going back for more makes every hour worth it.

🔥 Another beautiful wedding in the books! 🔥

We had the pleasure of catering Kyle & Raquel’s wedding at beautiful Baptist Lake, Alberta, and what a day it was! ☀️💍

The weather couldn’t have been better, and the food came together just the way we wanted. We served up our award-winning brisket, chicken skewers, mac & cheese, corn, Caesar salad, and of course, our World Champion Baked Beans! 🏆🔥

The best part? Hearing so many guests tell us it was the best wedding meal they’ve ever had! Those comments mean the world to us and are exactly why we love doing what we do.

Made a quick trip down to Oklahoma City for a bbq course put on by the awesome Smoked & Furious BBQ Team. Thanks Curt for putting on a great course. Hope it improves our game this year and who knows, maybe a can will be in our future?!

Cold weather. Hot smoker. 28 briskets. 🥶🔥🥩
Our Christmas brisket cook was a huge success! Even in the chilly temps, we kept the smoke rolling and the brisket flowing. We’re honored to be part of so many families’ holiday meals—thank you for trusting us with your Christmas BBQ! 🎄❤️

Finally made it home from our last and biggest competition of the year. The American Royal World Series of Barbecue in Kansas City. We flew down and borrowed an awesome bbq trailer from Darren Warth and we are super grateful for that opportunity! It was a 2 day 14 hand in competition and we handed in all 14!

First day was the invitational and sides competition where we finished in First place in Baked Beans with a perfect score (180) and took 3rd place overall in the sides competition. We can now say we are the current World Champions in baked beans! 💨

Second day was the open where we finished 150th out of 401 teams.

Congrats to the rest of the Canadian teams that had their names called!

We flew down to the American Royal in Kansas City and are returning as WORLD CHAMPIONS, but not in the category you’d think! Over 2 days we competed in 14 events using smokers we borrowed for the weekend. There were 405 teams from around the world competing!

There was a side dish competition where we handed in a vegetable dish, potato dish and baked beans.

We took FIRST PLACE🥇 in baked beans and 3rd overall in the sides!

And congrats to You Need A BBQ for taking First Place in the potato category! 2 new Candian world champions tonight!
