Regional Champs X 2 🏆 🏆

Our programs made history today by winning both the boys and girls SIJHSAA Regional Championships at Tamarack GC in Shiloh!

We also had 3 top 5 medalist with Brynlee Liefer in 5th with a 48, Porter Donjon 3rd with a 39, and Blake Marcheski 1st overall with a 37.

This is the first year the SIJHSAA has sponsored team
golf in the postseason and with only 1 class and 5 regionals across southern Illinois it’s all the sweeter that these guys and gals got it done!

The boys team is now 31-0 and the girls are 10-3!

A big congratulations to Brynlee and Alaina on their 8th grade night. While the lightning cut it short, they played a great 7 holes this evening. We will miss all the laughter and smiles that they brought to this program!

Regionals on Monday!

Last Road Trip of the regular reason took us to Red Hawk to take on Pinckneyville!

The girls fell with a score of 264-229. Girls counting scores included a Liefer 57, Stoeckel 59, Mollet 72, and Tallman 76

The boys got another win with a SEASON LOW of 159 over a Pinckneyville 207. Co-Medalists were Donjon and Duncan who both shot 39. They were followed by a Marcheski 40 and a P. Eckart 41.

The teams traveled north to Belk Park Course in Wood River this windy 💨 afternoon to take on the Maryville Christian Lions 🦁

The boys team finished 9 with a team score of 162 over Maryville’s 194. The boys counting scores included a Dax Liefer 45, Draedan Duncan 42, Blake Marcheski 40, and another medalist 🏅 round from Porter Donjon who shot -1 35! The boys are now 17-0 on the season.

The girls team dropped a close one 182-176 with a Stoeckel 54 and are now 4-2 on the season.

Royals traveled to Okawville today to take on Wesclin and Pinckneyville.

The boys prevailed with a team score of 163 over Wesclin and Pinckneyville 225s. Boys counting scores included a Gregson 46 and Tri-Medalist 39s from Duncan, Donjon, and Marcheski. The boys are now 10-0.

The girls picked up a win over Wesclin but fell to Pinckneyville with a Liefer 52, Stoeckel 59, Mollet 62, and Vause 70. The girls are now 4-1.

Thanks to the Birke Family for the snacks and the Eckart Family for Dairy Queen after the match!

Our golfers competed in the Barb Jansen Memorial Individuals Tournament at Bent Oak today in Breese, 5 Royals placed top 3 in their age division!

The sun only came out for the pictures… cold and sloppy conditions otherwise!

The Royals Girls Golf team traveled to Pyramid Oaks this afternoon to take on Trico and Ziegler-Royalton. The Royals prevailed with a team score of 255!

Brynlee Liefer was match medalist (her 2nd on the season) with a 54! She was followed up with a Stoeckel 57, Tallman 68, and Mollet 76.

The Royals are now 3-0 on the season.
