Lovely Memorial service for Wayne Wright yesterday at St. Peter’s By the Sea historic church where Wayne was a congregant.

Very personal goodbyes from his children. Wayne ‘s love of tennis in Ogunquit was mentioned by several of his children.

Rest in peace, Wayne.

THE FUTURE OF AGAMENTICUS FIELD
In early 2022, The Ogunquit Parks and Recreation Board conducted a survey asking participants what they would like to see for the future of Agamenticus Field. (364 people responded to the survey)
In August, the Select Board approved and the Town Manager signed a Landscape Architecture contract with Oak Point Associates to help transfer the survey suggestions into ideas on how to best utilize this asset from a field into a park for all to enjoy.
We want to invite all our followers to be aware of this process.
On September 13, 2022, Oak Point and the Ogunquit Parks and Recreation Board walked the site to discuss the survey results as well and to see the field as it is today. (3 tennis courts, 2 dedicated pickle ball courts, a baseball/softball field and parking for 32 cars). The general consensus from the survey is to make this site a multi-generational park while keeping the integrity of the surrounding residential neighborhood.
We will keep you posted on the next steps and further discussion with Oak Point as this project evolves.

On Thursday September 15th the Ogunquit tennis community celebrated the birthday of our mentor, coach and friend, Bob Hatem. Bob would have loved the crowd who came to honor him.

Congratulations to our Ogt senior tennis league players who took home silver medals in the Maine senior games…Marty and Gail Voshell in doubles. Steve Mirarchi in singles and Dan Bancroft and Steve Mirarchi in doubles.
