A very simple step you can take to be healthier, feel healthier, look better, think better, and perform better is to drink more water.

And estimated 70% of Americans are dehydrated.

So that means 7 of you reading this out of every 10 people is dehydrated.

Set yourself a simple goal to drink a gallon of water a day.

Stop making excuses that it's to hard, that you forgot... blah blah blah.

It's one of the simplest things you can do, but most want to be whiney little b!$thes about it, and complain about how you don't like how water taste.

That's because you have been conditioned to want to drink chemical poison... aka soda and energy drinks.

Have a little discipline and drink your water.

So we have 3 months left in the year. Just under 90 days in fact.

How are you doing on your goals?

How is your level of fitness now as compared to back in January?

What about your finances? Are you on track there?

Or what about your relationships? Have they improved?

It's an interesting fact that most people over estimate what they can accomplish in a year (and thus procrastinate), and greatly under estimate what that can accomplish in 90 days.

~In the next 90 days you could lose 15 to 20lbs.

~In the next 90 days you could double your monthly income.

~In the next 90 days you could significantly improve the state of your relationships.

-You could make the commitment for daily improvement in one or more of those areas for 12 weeks.

All to often we want to go at a slow and cautious pace..... when really we need to be sprinting with a sense of urgency!

Like life and death urgency!
Like end of the world urgency!

That kind of urgency gets your ass motivated to keep committed!

We can accomplish more in 3 months than in 12 months with with right structure and accountability.

As we start the new week and a new month, take a minute today to think about how much progress you've made.

Sometimes it's hard to see the progress we've made, because we want perfection.

I know that's a pit I fall into. Wanting to be perfect, comparing myself to others.

Being perfect isn't the goal, making progress is.

Lower your expectations.... WHAT!?!

Stay with me for a minute.

Let me explain. When it comes to getting fit and healthy, a lot of people set these impossibly high expectations for themselves.

Like saying they will never overeat again, or they will not have any cheat meals for the next 16 weeks.

Or saying they will go from not going to the gym at all, to going 6 days a weeks.

Expectations like that are just setting yourself up for failure.

Becoming fit and healthy is a process that you have to learn to do. You get better at it the more you do it.

We don't expect a child to have the knowledge, habits and abilities of an adult.

Don't expect yourself to have the knowledge, abilities, and habits of someone who's been practicing living a healthy fit life for 20 years.

The most important thing for you to do is to just start!

Stop talking about it, or setting these impossible to accomplish expectations, and just start.

The reason you don't start is because you know you will fail, because your expectations are to high for your current mindset and ability levels.

So let's change that.

Start with simple things.

Everyone wants to over complicate weightloss and fitness.

The "gurus" on the interwebs want you to think you need to fast 16 hours a day, or follow a blood type diet.

IG fitness influencer want you to buy their skinny teas and belly fat melting waist wraps.

In truth most people just need to be consistent to the basic principles, and by consistent I mean do them for a year.

See most of ya all aren't willing to commit to a year long process. You want it now, and with minimal effort, or you want their to be something "wrong" with you that you can use as an excuse.

Find a common sense weightloss and fitness plan. Do it for a year, and see what the results are.

Most guys struggle to stick with workout and fitness programs for a couple of reasons. It can take time away from work, from family, and from fun or relaxing activities. (We all need to be able to unwind)

Or that’s what a lot of men think anyway…….

Truth is, it doesn’t have to be this way.

It’s entirely possible to get fast transformation results that last without having to spend your life at the gym, and only eat chicken and broccoli.

How would it feel to be the dad at the beach with his shirt off, feeling confident and having fun throwing the football with his kids, or maybe boogie boarding in the surf.

But more than that, to be able to feel good, to feel strong and in control of your life.

I’ve been helping guys do this for years.

The secret I have found to make this work is to change the stories that men tell themselves about their lives and create new daily lifestyle habits.

One of the biggest things I’ve learned over the years from not only my own journey into my 40’s and taking on family life, but also from helping hundreds of guys just like you to transform their bodies, health, and minds….

Is that most of what you are being told to do isn’t going to be sustainable…..

⛔Going super low calorie…...Nope

That isn't just a fancy catchphrase.

That means we pledged to never forget that American lives were taken on American soil, by terrorists.

Too many Americans have forgotten that.

To that I say this....

To those who lost their lives that day in the plane crashes and crumbling burning buildings.... I will never forget.

To the brave firefighters, police offers, first responders and others who gave their lives trying to save others..... I will never forget.

To the brave men and women of our military who took the fight to the enemy and gave all..... I will never forget.

I will never forget how in the aftermath of that tragic day our country was united and strong. That we had resolve to protect ourselves from evil, and destroy it at it's source. Didn't matter if you were republican, democrat, or other political affiliation, because we were Americans, and damn proud of it.

That is the America I will never forget.

All the things that we want to say are hard are mostly just excuses.

Being dedicated to these things day after day, week after week, month after month........ is hard.
