Alumni playing NCAA Division 1 &3, Pro in ECHL, AHL and Europe. The Mustangs are Ogden’s first and only Junior A hockey program. Relocating from Bakersfield, Calif., in the summer of 2011, the Mustangs have made the 2,400 seat Weber County Ice Sheet their new home. Spurred by the possibility of planting their roots in a community with both a rich tradition of winter sport involvement and a strong
hockey following, the Mustang organization decided Ogden was the perfect place to call home. Now proud members of United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL), the Mustangs compete against top organizations from across the entire country. Founded in 2012, the United States Premier Hockey League of 2021-22 is comprised of more than 550 teams, fielding more than 11,000 players in more than 100 organizations, with player ages ranging from 6 to 21. Teams are geographically diverse, ranging from North and South to the Midwest and West Coast. The Weber County Ice Sheet was one of several host venues for the 2002 Winter Olympics. As a result, many upgrades and amenities have been added, making it truly a world class facility. With 2,400 stadium style seats, a VIP lounge and a Mustangs locker room and training facility, The Ice Sheet is regarded as one the best facilities in the USPHL.
