Congratulations to our athletes who have earned perfect attendance through our first seven summer workouts. That’s not easy to do, and their consistency is setting the standard.

And while these athletes earned the perfect attendance recognition, many others just missed the cut and are doing an outstanding job as well. The effort and commitment across the board has been tremendous.

Another great week of work in the books!
The guys were feeling good after another strong week in the weight room and were dancing their way into the weekend…until Ayelynn stepped in and showed them how it’s really done! 🤣
Hard work, great attitudes, and plenty of fun along the way. Proud of the effort these athletes continue to bring everyday!

TODAY'S FOOTBALL ACTIVITIES ARE CANCELLED

Due to the weather, all football activities, including 7-on-7, have been canceled for today.

Enjoy the extra rest, recover, and take advantage of a day off. We'll be back to work tomorrow at weights and ready to keep getting better.

Our Husky Football Alumni Spotlight continues this week with Paul Yokas!

Paul now lives in Independence with his wife Olivia and their three children. He currently serves as a Director at a CPA Firm. Paul enjoys keeping up with Husky Football and is excited about the future of the program.

Sorry we didn’t get this out earlier today, but our Oelwein Husky Football Alumni Spotlight returns again this week with with Ryan Majerus!

A member of the Class of 2002, Ryan was part of a group whose toughness, pride, and work ethic helped fuel one of the best runs in Husky Football history.

Ryan and his wife now live in Iowa City with their three boys, where he runs a medical device business in Eastern Iowa. Ryan shared that many of the opportunities and successes in his life are a direct result of football and the great mentors who helped guide him along the way.

🟣🟡 Our Husky Football Alumni Spotlight is BACK! 🟣🟡

One of our goals as a program is to reconnect our current players with the athletes who helped build Husky tradition.

This week, we’re proud to spotlight Oelwein Husky alumnus Chris Aldrich.

Chris helped lead the Huskies to a 10-0 start and a home playoff win over New Hampton during his senior season, while also setting the Iowa state single-season record for receiving yards and catches. Across football, basketball, baseball, and golf, he qualified for state 9 times and earned All-State honors 3 times.

Today, Chris lives in Cedar Falls with his wife Elana and their three kids. He owns and practices at Waterloo Dental Associates and stays active coaching and supporting his kids in sports.

Thank you, Chris, for representing Husky Nation the right way.
