Tengo Player of the Week – Anders Goeller
Anders is the kind of teammate every program needs. He shows up every day, never misses, and is always willing to step up and help wherever he's needed. He puts the team first and does whatever is asked of him without hesitation!

Practice Player of the Week – Alex Sanchez
Alex has really stepped up his game over the past few weeks! He's been working hard at practice, continuing to improve, and it's starting to show on Friday nights. His effort throughout the week has earned him more and more opportunities on the field. It's great to see his hard work paying off!

Congratulations to both of these guys! Keep it up!

Practice Player of the Week — Ashton Hall
Ashton continues to rise to the challenge and get better every day! He has shown consistent growth on the defensive side of the ball and continues to improve each week. His effort and willingness to keep learning are paying off. Keep working, Ashton!
Tengo Player of the Week — Kellen Smith
Kellen has taken some big steps forward on the offensive line! Tengo was known as a fierce, physical ball carrier, and Kellen is beginning to bring that same type of fierceness to the offensive line. His physicality, effort, and confidence continue to grow each week!
Congratulations, Ashton and Kellen! Keep putting in the work and representing what it means to be a Husky!

A huge thank you to Leo’s Restaurant for donating their famous bread for our Thursday night team meal!

We also want to thank POET Bioprocessing in Fairbank for donating the bowls and silverware to help make the meal possible.

We truly appreciate the support of our local businesses and community. Thank you for taking care of our Huskies! We truly are fortunate to live in such a great and supportive community!

JV Football Update

Unfortunately, today’s JV football game has been cancelled due to weather and field conditions at Union High School. Their field currently has standing water and is not playable.

In an effort to still get the game in, we invited Union to travel to Oelwein and play at Husky Stadium. Unfortunately, they were unable to secure transportation on short notice, so the game had to be cancelled.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and flexibility. Go Huskies!

LAST WEEK

Practice Player of the Week — Josh Latham
Josh earned Practice Player of the Week through his hard work and willingness to always jump in on scout teams wherever he was needed. He continues to bring great effort and helps make our team better every day.

Tengo Players of the Week — Aaron Burkhart & Parker Kuennen
For the first time, we had a tie for the Tengo! These two seniors truly excelled in their leadership and continue to set a great example for their teammates. Aaron and Parker have shown what it means to lead and truly exemplify what it means to be a Husky!

THIS WEEK

Practice Player of the Week — Gage Swaab
Gage continues to show up with a great attitude and great effort every day. Even when asked to switch positions, he never complains and is always willing to do whatever is asked of him to help the team.

Tengo Player of the Week — Josh Latham
Josh showed exactly what it means to be a great teammate. He was willing to change positions and even gave up some of his free time to learn a completely new position so he could step in and help his teammates.

These guys continue to show that being a Husky is about more than what happens on Friday nights. It’s about effort, leadership, sacrifice, and doing what the team needs.

A big THANK YOU to Dollar Fresh for supporting our football program!
Dollar Fresh generously donated bananas, apples, and granola bars for our football players to refuel with at halftime. We are very fortunate to live in such a great community that is willing to support of our student-athletes!
