So here’s the thing.........

I’ve found a sidekick who initially thought I was completely insane......fast forward about 9 months and suddenly I’m not sounding quite as crazy as I once did.

I’d like to introduce to everyone “the grumpy ginger”.

Today we went to the range and laid the groundwork for the first Pariah article in years. It’s a really stupid article but it’s something I haven’t been able to glean from the bigger community because it’s not something anyone seems to have an interest in. Obviously that means I have to do it.
“Nobody fu***ng cares!!!!”


I’ll take that bet.

On the table is a discussion about “does barrel length matter at all” in relation to shotguns and dove hunting in particular. Turns out.........it doesn’t. And it blew our minds. I’m still trying to source the rest of the mounts for my Salvo to do more testing (because I love a good internet argument) but Justin has already committed to an SBS and a Toaster because this s**t is no joke.

So.......a shotgun thing happened today.

It’s years behind being relevant but, somehow, there isn’t any data on the interwebs.

The question was “How much does barrel length matter?” And the answer is “it basically doesn’t”.

The first article in years is inbound and our findings are surprising. If you have a Salvo or you’re considering one..........this is going to be of interest.

On the scale of things you don't see every day this goes to 11

The British Sterling submachine gun was introduced as WWII was ending to replace the Sten. Several versions were produced including the Mk6 semi auto closed bolt carbine. This is one of the few Mk6 rifles that were imported to the US registered as a Short Barreled Rifle under the National Fi****ms Act of 1934 and chopped by my good friend Taylor over at Integral Arms.

The 7.62x39 rifle round most commonly associated the the AK47 has reliability issues when in an AR15 due to the taper of the cases and the fact that the majority of ammunition offerings are inexpensive steel cased ammo that doesn't play well with the ARs chamber. Primary Weapons Systems developed their Mk107 Diablo uppers to function flawlessly with cheap junk ammo leaving the magazine itself as the weak point in the equation. C Products has fixed the magazine issue. The latest addition here at Pariah Arms is a custom hybrid featuring the PWS Diablo upper, and the Northeastern Arms Group Compact Carbine Stock from Canada. Interestingly enough PWS uses a long stroke gas piston operating system like an AK47 but the proprietary bolt carrier for the stock is direct gas impingement only. In order to make these two systems play nicely together we had to have HR Barrel Works modify the carrier with an op rod from PWS.
