Over the past 2 days UTPB Shooting Sports had the opportunity to volunteer with Bustin For Badges Charity Shoot that goes to helping out local law enforcement of Midland Odessa. The foundation has successfully raised over $1.6 million since its founding in 2014. This was an exciting and unique opportunity for students of the organization to network and meet with different companies sponsoring the event and working with the Midland Police Department to man this station.

Last Night, members representing the UTPB Shooting Sports Society were present at the UTPB Student Engagement Awards Banquet. Shooting Sports Society was nominated for The New Student Organization of the Year Award by students as were other organizations.

The UTPB Shooting Sports Society would like to congratulate UTPB Comm Club, for earning the award for improving student life and student engagement.

Yesterday two members on the UTPB Shooting Sports Shotgun Team competed in the ATA registered shoot at the MSA Shotgun Range. Attending these shoots is a unique experience as the organization networks and establishes professional relationships with the community. As usual, members of the Andrews High School Trapshooting Team gave Jose and Nick a strong competitive match!

Despite having winds up to 25 mph today, members still shot well at the ATA Big 50 shoot at the MSA Shotgun Range!

This weekend some members will be competing in another ATA registered shoot as they begin collecting their 1,000 clays to compete in Sparta, Illinois this summer

UTPB Shooting Sports would like to thank the Midland Shooters Association Shotgun Board of Management for allowing us to use their facility for future training and competitions. We would also like to thank Jesse Munoz for bringing himself and part of the Andrews High School Trapshooting Team for some world class training today!
